<p>So with the advent of MP3's and Ipods, or whatever player you choose, has brought with it the potential for strange little musical medleys. You take all your songs, throw 'em on there and hit shuffle. Songs that never before would have been caught dead being played near each other, are now neighbors. What's your weirdest, or most eclectic couple/few songs that have been played back to back, and/or weirdest potential mixes? The most bizarre I've had, and I think could possibly have knowing what's on my Ipod, are: Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Bach followed by the original Beetlejuice song from the Stern Show and rounded out with a Sufi Qawwali by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Strange Podfellows indeed.</p> <span class="post_edited"></span>

Concievably, I could hear songs by Rabih Abou Khalil, The Berzerker, Above The Law, Chaos Face, 16 Horsepower, Numb, Robert Belfour, Kayo Dot, Dissecting Table, Calexico, Einsturzende Neubauten, Naked City, Blue Mountain, NoMeansNo, Wumpscut, The Flaming Stars, and Praxis all in the same shuffle mix.

<p>I get em all that time, my favorite last night, which actually flowed in a weird way was:</p><p>Tom Waits: Altar Boy, Slipknot: My Plague, Richard Hayman: Thunder and Blazes (The song clowns come out to at the circus) </p><p> </p><p>Last week I went from Sarah Brightman to Cannibal Corpse to Fischerspooner.</p>

I don't have an MP3 player, but I just love the fact that in my iTunes, Outkast is followed by Pantera.ÿ Oh, and then there's Simon and Garfunkel followed by Slayer.ÿ When the transitions catch me off guard, what little attention span I have for what I'm doing flies out the window and I stare at my computer like a dumbass.
<p>Ok let me start this by saying "No Homo"</p><p>I was listening to some pantera "shedding skin" at the gym one day and the next song on shuffle was madonna "like a prayer" talk about strange.</p>
