The XM online stream is fucking up so I'm listening to Chris Daughtry's album, which I absolutely HATE to admit, is FUCKING AWESOME. I downloaded the whole album and I can't seem to find a bad song yet. A little poppy. A little monotonous - all his songs have a similar feel. A little too much like Staind on certain tracks. But overall a fantastic album. He definitely should have won last year. He's got a phenomenol voice.

New stuff I'm listening to:
Kings of Leon - Because of the Times
Dr. Dog - We All Belong. These guys are from Philly. Rolling Stone just did an article on them. Anyone heard of them?
The new Arcade Fire album is great too. Just got tickets to see them at Radio City.
Also an old album I just picked up is Van Morrison - Its Too Late to Stop Now. Its a live album from the 70s and its great.

"Zero Sum" by Nine Inch Nails
I just picked up "Year Zero" yesterday and I think I have listened to it straight through 5 or 6 times. It sounds like a NIN remix album to me, reminds me of the "Closer to God" EP for some reason. I think that it is a nice change from "With Teeth", which I think was a weak album for Trent. Back to a little more of an electronic sound and the couple songs that Jeordie White worked on are awesome.

Just picked up the new GENESIS live album "Live Over Europe". It's from this year's reunion tour. It's really good and a nice mix of all era's. They play a little slower and in a lower key, because Phil can't sing higher anymore.
Despite tuning down, they still sound really tight! The DVD comes out in Feb.

Deficit Des Annees Anterieurs (aka DDAA) "Action And Japanese Demonstration" LP from 1982. It is a pleasing experimental noise record in the style of Nurse With Wound, HNAS, Asmus Tietchens, Ghedalia Tazartes, etc which is probably worse than waterboarding to most humans. Go put silverware in a box on top of your clothes dryer, toss a couple cleated golf shoes in the dryer, turn on the dryer and chant out of tune while also listening to a Japanese language tape on a cassette machine with dying batteries and I can pretty much guarantee you your wife will kill you and the police will look the other way. This is a simpler equivalent that leaves the dryer intact. This is normally a very expensive record that someone floated me an awesome deal on because it was my birthday a few days ago. A+!!!
