It's an interesting thesis, but it doesn't hold up under scruitany.
What's the greatest thing in the Bronx? -- The Yankees. Who is the greatest Yankee? -- Babe Ruth. Where is Babe Ruth from? -- Baltimore. Therefore Baltimore celebrity >>>> Bronx celebrity.

The Poe/Baltimore association is pretty strange. Basically he was killed by Baltimore. I think he spent a year or two here, hated it. He spent the most time in Richmond, I believe. But somehow he is burried here.

And the work place of the Satanic Cult that were allegedly the real killers? None other than the woods between Untermeyer Park and the Croton Aqueduct - located squarely in Yonkers. And let me tell you - the increased police presence in that area after he got caught ruined an excellent place to smoke dope, drink Bud nips and get handies from the Gorton and Sacred Heart High School girls back in the day - so that sumbitch owes us.

Jimmy Morris from the movie THE ROOKIE. Never went to the movie though. Too feel-goody and heartwarming for me. Also a bit Hollywooded up...I hear.
Tommy Lee Jones is from (and lives) just down the road. But from what I hear he's a real prick. Probably just wants to be left alone and is constantly hassled by the locals.
Little girl: Can I have your autograph Mr. Jones?
Tommy Lee Jones: No.
