So far they've had Richard Bey, Jay Diamond, the ex-wrestler and the house of wax guy. Maybe some others who I'm forgetting.

What did you think? Like any more than others? Who would you want to see get (maybe 9pm)10-12 spot?

Jay Diamond wasn't a fit at all. Way too old for this station. The wrestler guy Tazz was awful, basically added nothing but a overdone Brooklyn accent to most discussions. House of Wax guy was OK, but a little too much dead air for my tastes. Might be better later, doing overnights.

I can live with Richard Bey. I always kinda liked the guy. He has a sense of humor, can talk about serious topics too when necessary. He'd get my vote. If Nick Dipaulo wanted to follow Ron and Fez, That might be the best fit. One comedy show into another, and DiPaulo's show has slower pace, which I like the later it gets. Bey could even be better in Dipaulo's 12-3 afternoon spot, where the audience is probably mostly housewives.

I liked Tazz. Ive never heard The Hideout but I'll be listening this week. I wish the show came on a 9. That way when Ron and Fez talk to the new host you can get right into the next show. Penn kills the crossover effect for me.

I think Tazz has been the best of the bunch so far. He did a decent show, but he's still very new to radio and you can tell he needs a bit more seasoning before he gets a full-time gig, plus, it's questionable whether he'd be able to commit with still being employed with WWE.

I'm really curious to see how Jefe and Dubs do. The Hideout is a good show and it's a good fit for the station.

Regardless, they have to get a live show from 9-11. Push Penn Jillette back from 11-12. It's not live, anyway, and I can't imagine he's that important to the ratings.

They must be paying a fortune for that show and feel like they have to put it somewhere. Because it doesn't work wherever it is. Plus its taped, and you just cant get away with canned radio in the biggest market in the country on a major station. I've never heard the hideout either, but I know alot of people on this board are fans of the show. So I'll give it more than a fair chance in that case and make sure to catch it.

if they don't bring the hideout in, the only other thing that will grab my attention is a return of the latenight dotcom show with ron n fez and the buddays are already pumping out 6 hours a day.

It's definitely been great hearing Jefe and Dubs back on the air despite the program name change. I actually like them in this format, I think it works pretty good for the guys. Hopefully they'll finish out the week strong and an offer will follow. Take it this time, guys! :)
