an entree? Last night I went to my friends girlfriends suprise 30th birthday party. He told me it was at this bar by our house and drinks and food would be take care of. I got there the was a cheese and vegetable tray and I began to drink. There was a girl walking around with some hors devours like chicken on a stick and little crab cakes. There were tables set up with place settings. I waited and waited. Then we had the birthday cake. Birthday Cake? What happened to the main course? I was hungry drunk and disappointed. Does a party need an entree?

I'd have burned that goddamn place to the ground. Especially since he told you to expect food. Hor D'ouvers are not food in my book. That's what they give you at a party to keep you going until the food is ready. What kind of degenerate, classless animals are you haning out with?

Id have my own shit stashed all over the place.

Obviously this guy is no "friend" of yours.

I hope he enjoys soup and milk shakes, because he wouldn't have any teeth left if he told me the food was taken care of and all I got was some cheap ass, shitty hors d'ouvres.

"Food" means dinner. If it was just some hors d'vours, then it would be drinks and snacks or some such.
