I recently applied there. I was attending county college and realized how much I hated it (not knocking anyone else who goes, but it jsut wasn't for me). I went to the Rutgers campus yesterday and it felt like a university and I felt that if I were going to this established college that I'll be more proud of myself.

With this being said, I'ms till up in the air about what I would like to do though I'm pretty sure it'll be something in management. This is of course if I get in, which I doubt I will.

I'm going to be 19 in May, and I applied for the fall. I guess I'm chalking my first year out of high school to trying to find out who I was, or some bullshit like that. Now I need to figure out who I'm going to be and what I'm going to do with my life.

Good luck keithy, if you don't like the county college scene, don't be afraid to try some other schools out too. Try the bigger state schools, and some other schools. Just start building up a massive debt with loans and have fun in the process.

I'm also thinking of applying to Penn State Harrisburg. I also want to apply to Harvard so I get a rejection letter with the Harvard stamp.

I went to NJIT which is right across the street. they have some great parties at both schools, so the social scene is not as bad you as you would think for being in newark

Good luck Keithy. My advice, for what it's worth, is to take all the marketing classes you can.

Being drunk is a cool feeling, and I enjoy my occasional cigar. But, the whole party scene never really did it for me. That's the real reason. The girl friend is an afterthought. Thanks for telling me how my relationship will turn out though.

not trying to be negative, but i have seen it first hand countless times. i just do not want you to go down that path.

i was in the exact same boat as you when i was a freshman in college. dating a girl, did not drink, did not think i ever wanted to go to stupid frat parties. we broke up, and i kept thinking the same thing until i went to a few parties and it changed my whole life. now i look back on it and think how much worse i would have been if i had stayed with her

and you do not have to drink to have fun at a party. some of the best party nights I had in college were the nights I was the DD. Plus, when you are sober sometimes it is easier to take advantage of the drunk girls at the parties.

Fair points good sir. It is unlikely that we will stay together if you look at statistics and such. But, there's no reason we should break up any time soon. But your ideas are noted, and it is true that a party is more fun sober sometimes.

And, why should I take courses in marketing? I'm interested in majoring in Management and Global Enterprise.

don't waste money on private school, public college is great. I went to public college and have a very good job. it is not where you go, but how hard you work. also, getting internships and other stuff matters a lot.

unless you want to join the best law firms or top investment banks, it is not going to make a difference.

Understanding marketing and being able to speak the lingo will give you credibility as a manager, especially with senior managers. At least that's been my experience.

I took your comment as I should major in it. I'm sorry. Yeah, I should take courses in marketing.
