Just as funny as the Daily Show. For the record I find the Daily Show to be bad TV.

I do want that shirt though, the 'Don't tell mama I'm for Obama'.

That was way too stuffy and forced to resemble the Daily Show. The format was more like a conservative Weekend Update. The set looked inspired by the Daily Show. That was the closest resemblance, IMO.

Therefore I don't find it funny.

With that being said, I didn't find this funny either. I thought it was jsut as bad, if not worse than the daily show. Actually, worse cause it was a total rip off of it and the canned laughter was terrible and put in spots where the jokes weren't even remotely funny. Not once while viewing that did I chuckle.

Yes I am a Republican, but I don't like bad TV. The Daily Show, as well asthis right wing rip off of the daily show are bad TV to me.

The Daily Show is political & media satire at its best. It's genius, not because of the partisan politics, but because of the content. It is hilarious.

Anyone who looks to Daily Show for an opinion or real fact is obviously weak minded anyway and would find it somewhere else.

The political agenda is not new. The media covers politics, Stewart mocks the media.

You have to remember most comedians make fun of whatever current administartion we have. When Clinton was president and Gore was running for president they killed the democrates and now its the republicans turn. You also cant blame Stewart, its so easy to do with Bush as president and all the shit he has said and done.

I think it's Jon Stewarts blatant smugness, the "I'm smarter than you" perception he gives off that makes me turn off the TV when he comes on.

EDIT: Him being smug is my opinion and take on him. I am by no means trying to say he comes off this way to every viewer of his show. This has been paid for by Keithy_19.

The jokes go over my head...ok. Sure. Just because I'm younger, not that young really, doesn't mean his jokes are too smart for me.

And yeah, you do bring a good point up. It's like this, would you really enjoy a show that was constantly ripping your views, with an audience cheering at every point? I bet you'd turn it off too.

I'm sure the ratio of viewers of this show to the daily show will be the inverse of listeners to wabc(conservative radio) vs. air america. Actually I think that the show will do better than air america with percentage of ratings, though air america will last longer.

I feel the same about this percieved war between the ideologies as I do about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict - I'm tired of both of their shit.

Having said that I'd put the Daily Show's record of getting their facts right up against Fox "News'" record any day. And given the often-cited/often-ignored point Jon Stewart makes - that their goal is to go after people in power doing stupid shit - how could they not have gone after the republicans more over the last six years? Given that mandate I don't consider it liberal biased at all. I sure has hell haven't seen anyone make a serious evidence-based case that it is - just alot of pissing and moaning by people who have their own biases.

I thought it was sorta funny. I loved the stiff banter between the two anchors and the awful awful laugh track. The material wasnt that bad either. It felt more like weekend update than the daily show
