<p><font face="comic sans ms,sand" size="2">So this album is 2 weeks away from release. Have the usual things that happen this close to a CD release taken place? <p>If it ever comes out there will be a couple of songs that get a bunch of airplay- &quot;Better&quot; is sure to play well, &quot;The Blues&quot; is a great second or third song release- typical GNR ballad- think &quot;November Rain&quot;, I think the title track will play well on the radio as well. '</p><p>BTW- the album is complete and has been turned in for final mixing. This means we're 8 or so weeks out (minimum). The good news is that the recording is done- should be out for summer.</p><p>Official release: </p><p>The good news is that all of the recording for the album has been completed. Drummer Frank Ferrer and guitarist Ron &quot;Bumblefoot&quot; Thal integrated themselves into the recordings seamlessly and will have their presence felt. </p><p>There is no official release date, as the band is currently mixing, but after some delays and scheduling difficulties, things appear to be moving along. </p><p>Take care,<br />Del James </p>

the hype around the album is rediculous. so bad, in fact, even if it's amazing, it's going to suck.

this album shouldve come out in 1992 when people still cared about it. but heres whats gonna happen, its gonna come out and people will think its shitty, then 2 years will go by and people will love it and talk about how GnR were a real rock band, being all flakey and making people wait forever.

After hearing the new Metallica song on Sirius last week, there is no possible way for Chinese Democracy to be worse. The vocals sounded like they should be in an entirely different song. Just awful.

Reading between the lines, it sounds to me like the album was indeed finished and ready to go, but the reaction to the songs that leaked was so negative that it's been pulled for more work.

So it's never coming out. Never.
