You have heard them brand Berkely and rant about politics. What do the listeners think?

I think the Berkley thing was just a goof, but I remember Fez voted for Bush and Ron for Gore.

Something that consistently surprises me, is how conservative Oppie and Anthony are as well as Ron and Fez. On certain social issues they lean to the left (i.e. abortion, pornography). Yet on other issues they lean to the right (i.e. taxes, race, death penalty). It's an interesting contradiction. At the same time, it is frustrating because I don't always agree with what they say. Personally, I like it when they stay away from politics.

What surprises me is your attempts at being a faux intellectual.
They don't run political shows.
How are O&A "conservative" when it comes to race? Last I checked, Opie was in a longterm interracial relationship.
Not that it matters.
They "branded" Berkeley not from a conservative standpoint, but a Patriotic standpoint.
And the limits of their "political ranting" is chastising Hillary for her carpetbagging.

Ron and Fez have openly stated their political affiliations on many occasions, with Ron being a Democrat and Fez being a Republican. I've also heard Opie say he tends to vote Democrat while Anthony and Norton have both admitted to leaning to the right.
As an unapologetic conservative, I don't make political affiliation taint how I feel about anyone, least of all those in the entertainment field!

I think what RandF as well as O and A are is a trend that is all throughout America, and that is Moderatism (not sure if it is a word, but I made it up now). It means that you can have stand points of both left and right and they are good definition of it. I consider myself a moderate who actually looks at issues but also how person carries themselves. I look at everything...or as a friend of mine once put it, "You test drive a car before you buy it!!" (He also applies that theorm to women too, so...) Anywhos, I like that they avoid politics too, and sometimes it is unavoidable. But they are no where near a level of all the shnooks on WABC. Although Anthony's impression of Bob Grant is the best...my father used to listen to him when I was a kid, and man he has that guy nailed...f***ing hilarious. Just bring on the spoof of the serious people is what I say...

they branded berkley because berkley branded teh military. nothing to do with politics.
they have a kind of way of thinking that a lot of us have which is more in a liberatarian, live and let live, philosophy.

When they start going deaf I will start to care about what they have to say about politics.
Until then, let's just have fun, I say. If I want politics I'll turn on CNN.

The one problem with this entire argument is that everything Ron and Fez ever say is a goof.

What I love about R&F is that, like Dan said, they don't take politics seriously. It's always from a humorous perspective, because first and foremost they realize it's a COMEDY show.
They don't go into long-winded tirades about their own personal politics, like some other d-jays do. Hoo hoo.
