Dearest Earl,        As not be considered a negative Nelly or a hater I will preface this request by stating that I love every single thing about the show.  I am not in radio and have no knowledge of how it all goes down behind the scenes.  However, I have a request....     I have purchased the Inno so that I may record the brilliance of Ron and Fez at will and listen to my hearts content all day and all night.  What I don't want to listen to is "Tell them about the Discount Harry" or "It happens all the time your driving along and hear an ad on XM"   OR "Mixed Martial Arts is the fastest growing sport" OR "Fellas looking to spice up your love life????"  WHY WHY WHY EARL do have to listen to such ads before the show returns?  Because of the pad data I am told.  Please Earl could you give just a little more attention to the pad data issue.  Please.  I would hate to snap one day and drive 250 miles to NYC and shove my inno into your ass.  Thanks lovey, xo Nortons Heiny

Don't let 'em get in your kitchen Earl, you're still flying high on the wings of a great live event. But I don't think Earl has anything to do with the commercial pad data.  He's slow on changing it during the show no doubt, but the commercials are probably controled by the master computer.  Just a guess, but I was under the impression that it's all automatic.  There's not someone there changing the pad data along with the commercials, the computer dumps the preloaded data into place as the commercial is loaded.

I have an inno and a myfi.  I usually record on the myfi because I find it easier to program.  I record Ron and Fez on days I work and listen while walking my dog at night.  The problem I have with the pad data on the recording is....THE BOYS GO TO BREAK....commercial...commercial...commercial...co mmercial   (all of the commercials appear with a product name or whatever is advertised on the pad data).  FINE!  GREAT!  But....then RON AND FEZ SHOW pops back up as I scroll down.  I stop on RON AND FEZ and it's a quick RON AND FEZ ID and commercial....commercial....commercial....again.  It's annoying as hell.  I'm fighting my mutt, there's trafffic,  and it's dark.  I have to take the thing and jockey with the scroll button again.  Why can't RON AND FEZ be back on the pad data ONLY when they're back from break?  My only complaint. I sit through the commercials while listening live.  No complaints there. I've only recorded AL FRANKEN on the myfi in the past as far as talk goes and it was never that way when he had the show.  When Franken came back up on the pad data...he was back on.  When a commercial was up...a commercial.  It was never AL FRANKEN SHOW ON XM!   WELLL IT'S ABOUT TIME....BUY SOAP....WE GOT HOCKEY!  60s on 6...WRITE THAT ON A ROCK!

First of all, the Earl is an incompetent boob thing is mostly all bit... He's one of the best producers in the country and the quality of the show is a testament to that... The show is a collective effort of all 4 of the guys plus the people off mic...(pitzy mostly) So either get the bit and join in or drop it. Everyone plays a part....Ron summed it up when he said "when you come into the studio; either you make a joke or you are the joke..." Earl usually is the joke because he's not the quickest on the mic...(because he's the producer and not the host) So get with the bit and don't start fight threads... As far as the pad data issue... I have an inno and I have the same issue... But I took the time to search the net and figure it out... From what i can gather, they have (and always have had) big problems with any pad data that doesn't originate from DC... It happens on O&A and on R&F.... It's been a long standing problem, so until there is some change...(bandwidth upgrade maybe?) I think we're stuck with a minor flaw.. Life's not perfect...

the commercials aren't his fault, i do wish the pad data would change more often though, so you don't have a 2 hour segment that you cant navigate through.  it would be nice for them to be broken up more, but it'd be nice to shit in a golden toilet too, i wouldn't push my luck
