Love that song, not from a parody perspective but as genuine music. I always assumed it was a great parody of an Al Green, Bill Withers etc... track, but I've yet to come accross<span style="border: 0pt none ; margin: 0pt; padding: 0pt; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; font-family: serif; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: bold; font-size: 100%; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; position: static; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial; text-align: left; text-indent: 0pt; text-transform: none; color: green; text-decoration: underline; cursor: pointer"></span> the original. I'm starting to think it's a R&amp;F original score. If so the Cumia family roadshow is just absurdly talented.

It's a parody of Clarence Carter's &quot;Patches&quot;

<p>BTW - I never truley appreciated how GOOD Joe's parody is until I heard &quot;Patches&quot; again recently.&nbsp; The &quot;Black Earl&quot; song is absolutely spot-on.</p><p>I mean I was familiar with Clarence Carter's &quot;Patches,&quot; but probably hadn't heard it in 15+ years.&nbsp; Flipping through XM stations I stumbled into it and decided to listen.&nbsp; Joe completely nailed the vocals, intonation, <em><u>everything</u></em>.&nbsp; BRAVO!&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
