I finally saw this movie last night, and just thought it was fantastic. A fun piece of modern noir with some nice tongue-in-cheek self-references.

Love-love-love-love-love-love-love-LOVE this movie. Kilmer is hysterical and Downey knocks it out of the park. His acting in the scene where the chick gets killed and he's hiding under the bed is phenomenal...probably every single range in the book.

Yeah, I saw this in the theatres accidentally, and had no idea what I was walking into. I thought it was more original that most of the shit that i've seen. Pretty cool stuff.

I love the narration from Robert Downey Jr. It has a great sardonic wit to it that really compliments the movie.

i thought the gay angle was pushed a little too much but overall was happy with it...

maybe not thread worthy but okay as a flick

Robert Downey Jr has picked some good roles, past couple of years alone, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Zodiac, Guide to Recognizing your Saints, Good Night, and Good Luck. Nailed the part every time too.

This is what most of the movie is based on. Also these is the detective series that
were referring to with the books and movies

im watching this movie right now for the first time on HBO and if anything the first 25 minutes is very weird. i want this to get better because this whole thread has nothing but praise for the flick and truth be told i only decided to watch it was because of this thread.

Downey and Kilmer were both great. Check out Downey in "A Scanner Darkley", if you haven't seen it.

Love this movie, and it would be perfect if it weren't for the painfully cutesy "farewell video" at the end.

One of those films I always wanted to see and never got around to.

Just put in the request for my library network to pick it up for me.
