The only reason he hasn't been found yet is because its a way to keep people supportive of the war on terror.ÿ We have to know where he is - we have missiles that can hit a an object withing three feet from thousands of miles away and we cant find one guy?

the reason we havent found Osama is we left Afganastan to early to fight an unjust war in Iraq. Bush always says "we are fighting them there so we dont fight them here". Well how about we fight them where they really are, not where you wanted them to be?

Drudge isnt a really good place for "News" Its like Fox News and a tabloid magazine all rolled into one on the net.

Oh wait. No. That was spot on. My bad.

I think he'll be found and killed in the next few years, but honestly, like Zarkawi, it's too late. The guy will be a martyr because he's demonstrated that you can hurt the United States in a big big way and get away with it. And that your tactics will succeed because we will react in a predictable and self-destructive way. Bin Laden has already surpassed his goals on 9-11 and it's our fault.

We coulda had bin Laden at Tora Bora, but the Bush administration refused to allow the ground commander the troops and equipment needed to get the job done.

Later, as al Qaeda and Talibanners fled across the mountains, administration officials refused to allow bombing them. We had them with infrared recon, but they speculated that those might be shepherds at 10,000+ feet with their flocks in waist-high snow in the middle of winter.

Good books on the campaign include Not A Good Day To Die bt Sean Naylor; First In, by Gary Schroen and Jawbreaker, by Gary Berntsen.

Emmanuel Goldstein is a character from the book 1984. He is used by the ruling party as a kind of boogeyman; his face is shown on the equivelant of television to stir up anger at the nation's enemies. He is also used to justify the government's constant switching of enemies (like when our government used Bin Laden to switch the focus from Afghanistan to Iraq). Bin Laden basically serves this function, to justify war regardless of the real reasons, much like the Soviet Union did during the Cold War. We will never bring Bin Laden to justice as long as his continued exsistence is useful to the government.

I was so disgusted tonight at work. Someone mentioned Bin Laden. One of my co workers talked about him being dead. I said he wasn't dead. The guy said "I thought we hanged him". I said, "No... that was Saddam. Bin Laden, the guy who actually attacked us on 9-11 has been running free ever since, while we've been fighting a war in a country that had nothing to do with 9-11." The guy, and another co worker both said, "Ahhh... I don't follow that crap anyway. It has nothing to do with my life."

I could be wrong but my gut tells me we will find him May 1 2011. I see a group of navy seals raiding his compound and pumping two bullets in him then chuckin him in the ocean. Dont worry no seals will be injured in this daring raid but they will have mechanical failure and have to burn one of the helicopters.
Like I said I could be completely wrong but I was talking to Marmalade Sally and this is what we come up with.
