Has anyone seen this show, Intervention? It's on A&E, usually on Sunday nights. I've seen a few episodes and I'm hooked. Basically the show follows someone around who has a serious substance abuse problem or eating disorder. Only what the person doesn't know is that their friends and family are planning an intervention for them. It's really behind the scenes, raw stuff. And unlike some stupid shows, everything doesn't always end up ok in the end.

Also, it's the most likely show on tv to feature a member of rf.net in the future.

Me too! I usually HATE reality shows, But I just caught it one day about 2 or 3 months ago and try to watch at work. They are putting the new season on friday's now I think. I cant wait. Im glad someone else watches it!

"Intervention fan since day 1" Im actually surprised they still find addicts who dont know about the show, and are completly unsuspecting of the intervention. The alcoholic mother who slept on her mothers floor with her husband and kid, and pounded tallboys on the bus to work, almost made me stop drinking beer.

Me too, Intervention fan since day one. I love the show, DVR it. I think its great when the people wig out or get really drunk and the producer has to step in and drive or talk them down. Awesome show./

I didn't end up drinking cause I was already in bed, but I was thirsty.

The former beauty queen from Minnesota that turned Meth-head was hot. She got fat after she kicked it.

The wannabe pop princess, hooked up with the crack head music producer, was way hot too. Madison.

I LOVE this show. I will always try to watch it. What time are they moving it to on Fridays?

I liked the insane meth stripper who trashed her dad's place she was living in. She was really bad. I also liked the lady who'd down the small bottles of alcohol and cry who used to be an actress. The one that was bullshit I saw was the kid who was "addicted" to video games. Come on. He had that hot friend who was trying to help his addiction. I felt like saying that the only reason he's "addicted" is because you're not fucking him. Seriously. If she was fucking him and told him to stop playing video games, he'd stop in a second.

I'd always like to see Ronny B straighten one of them out.

Addicts make for the best tv. Anybody know if this show will be released on dvd. I've watched a couple episodes but can't ever seem to catch it on tv. I tried to netflix it but they got nothing.

Great show, I end up watching it everytime I see it when I'm channel surfing. I liked the episode with the young Los Angeles businessman who blows everything on his coke habit. He would have breakfast at the Holiday Inn every morning when they served the complimentary breakfast. The hotel never caught on to him so I guess it is a good idea when you're hungry.
I think its either 9 or 10 pm on fridays, and you can get the dvd's on a&etv.com, or somehing like that.

i understand that most reality shows are scripted to some degree. but i have an ex girlfriend who used to work at a video game store. she knew the kid who was in the "intervention: im addicted to video games". apparently he was a regular. when she saw a preview for it she asked him what it was all about and if he cared if she watched it. he (buying video games no less) said he didn't care, but to know that the producers asked him to like yell at the screen and be all "crazed" about the video game. makes me wonder...

but i have seen a few good episodes. the one guy who has a gambling problem is ridiculous. screaming and crying for like a good ten minutes.

He seemed completely normal. Maybe they saw he looked normal and they realized it, so they told him to look crazed. He still didn't look nearly as insane as other gamers I've seen.

I also liked the alcoholic in Annapolis because I want to live there. And she was abusive and really lonely. It makes the best tv. Makes me realize how good I actually have it. That's the great thing about Intervention.

It's one of my favorite shows. The guy who was a prodigy was the best. They showed a tape of him in college teaching a class. He was dressed like Screech from Saved By The Bell and doing a horrible rap. He was a true maniac, the most selfish person I've ever seen.

i always felt really uncomfterble about this show.

First off the show is jerry springerized with the pre intervention where they show a montage of what they did and while they were doing it, felt hollywood to me

second, after having one of my own (where like people sat around and cried and shit) i would start like almost shaking during the show.

i like it overall as a glance for people that maybe havent done it but for some of us it just okay. It is a good glimpse

Theres one on now I have never seen, Dont know if its new though.

I think he had a girlfriend who he had a kid with who was trying to get him to stop. He went into rehab but left early.

My favorite episode was this girl who smoked crack and drank a lot who was sitting on her bed naked just freaking out and throwing shit. Her sister gave her some raman noodles and she took a drink off it and threw the cup at her sister then started throwing the stereo at the wall. Then she was outside naked in the middle of the day punching her sister who threw her into this brick wall and just left her there. Now thats reality tv.

I saw both of the ones mentioned above. I felt bad for the older woman, she was just in pain and hurting, and lost it all. It really is a disease. And the whore with the ramen noodles, if that was my sister you BETTER believe she would be in the er to get some shit stitched up. My sister and I have had some knock down dragout fights, but if she was like THAT, I would knock her the fuck out, no questions..,.she would fear me, and she DEF. wouldnt talk to me like that. That episode pissed me the fuck off.

From what I know, Mr. meeks has now been clean for over a year.

That was probably the only episode that I've laughed at and I was dying watching it. Thank god my friend had tivo because i was rewinding that watching her freaking out. If that was my family member I'd just cut off all contact unless I was in need of a laugh.
First episode of new season is on now.

And she would take frequent breaks from her retail job to just drink vodka in her car.

Intenrvention is such a good show. It's so crazy though.

It's good that it shows you what people actually go through and what the drugs/alcohol have done to them. There always an important thing to learn.

I did a quick search on Torrentz and Isohunt, but it's not up. You could try requesting it on a torrent site. Someone's got it out there.
