Has anyone had an encounter?are there such entities among us?I think so. I have watch ghost hunters on cable and they capture amazing images and sounds on film. There is also a british version of the show on TV. They explore supernatural phoenomon in old castles around the countryside where terrible events happened hundreds of years ago.If anyone had an encounter, tell us. Iwant to hear about it.Others too Ibet.

one thing Ive noticed on the shows is those ORBS. Any time something makes a noise or they ask a spirit to show themselves an ORB of lite shows up.I wonder if thats one form a spirit can take to get around since their not in the physical world anymore.S ome are briter then others and they move quickly. Usually you dont see them but can be captured on tape.

Haven't they proved that alot of the so-called "Orbs" are nothing but dust or bugs?

It's been a while since I seen the show(which I used to watch nonstop)

As for hauntings, the house that I grew up in was haunted. From seeing plates being thrown, to weird smokey clouds hovering near the ceilings of the basement. A couple of times while I was sleeping I felt like I was being raised up, and when I woke up in a panic, I literally fell on the mattress.

The day we moved out, the whole house ran completely cold, to a point where you can see your own breath. We moved out there in August.

Love the show, don't know if I believe everything out there about ghosts, but sure is fun to watch and get the blood pumping. I live about 20 minutes from Waverly Hills Sanitorium that they shot at, been trying to get a tour to no avail yet.

It was mainly teh sense of being watched by people. People said they would be studying and get the feeling of being watched and see sets of eyes staring in at them from teh windows. Or coming into the house and sensing you were being watched and when you look in the direction it came from you would get a sense of something moving behind an object to avoid being seen.

Also heard stories of voices telling people where to look for things when something went missing, one guy misplaced a paper in his room and couldnt find it and went to another room and when he came backa voice told him where to look and teh paper was in that spot, a place he never would have put it

one episode of taps made me laugh and scaried. it took place in the south and this guy(sort of hay seedish) lived in this old old farm house.he complained to taps that there something in his house that opens and closes doors and moves things and get angry when he brings his girlfriend home.the girlfriend say she feels like shes not welcome and sometimes is push when climbing stairs or has her hair pulled when noone is in the room.Taps does capture doors opening and closing with no one there, then they tell the owner that his house is haunted probably by a female ghost who is jealous of his girlfriend and he should talk to the ghost and explain that when hes with his girl to leave them alone and when she leaves iis now the ghosts time to be with him.Taps did nothing but comfern his fears about the haunting and then tell him to reason with a jealous entity.THe upside taps said while driving away was no one has really gotten hurt yet,ha

My dad does this. He's a member of a local "Paranormal" Society and they go to graveyards and stuff and take pictures. They had an article written about them in a Westchester magazine. Mostly he just sounds batshit insane, but he has thousands of digital pictures and some of them have strange stuff.

I have seen a show of TAPS were they are in a prison in PA.Not in use any more but haunted by inmates who killed each other and one who were hanged. The death row section had shadowy figures seen in the cells and on the metal cat walks high up by the cells.A camera was placed on the catwalk and sure enough a small dark circle appears on the tape and in an instant grows into a figure down on one knee with a cloak over it and then it starts running down the catwalk and dissapears into the darkness. You could actually make out the legs and shoes.

The first time I felt a spirit materialize was when my cat Max (now dead a year) ended up jumping onto my chest while I was sleeping, I assume to come and sleep by me like he did in real life. I started to feel my hearat beating faster and this woozy wavy feeling, not like I'm going to be sick but more of like a draining of energy. I started to feel this and I remember opening my eyes because I felt this weight on me and there looking kinds watery, is Max and he looks at me like "did I do something wrong" look, and I remember just saying Max and then going back to sleep.

I will say that I felt really good because when he was first put to sleep, I have his ashes in my bedroom, my then boyfriend asked me one morning if I had felt Max getting between us like he always used to do and I said no. This made me really sad everytime I would remember that.

I caught an episode of the british ghost hunters and again they were in some castle. They were asking one of the resident ghost questions and it was answering them with knocks on the ceiling.Once for NO and twice for YES.

There was this bar that was known to be haunted by a woman. The bar was at its location forover a 100 yrs. First a roadhouse, then added on over the years..In the 30s a young woman killed herself there because her father who owned the place at the time disaproved of her relationship with a musician. Her spirit stays there and moves glasses and set up tables etc. A median was asked to try and contact her and did. In the process the spirit told the median where to find her long hidden diary telling about her troubles and what she did to herself. When asked why stay here a the bar she said there was no place to go. THE girls spirit would rather exist in the bar then not at all.
Also there was an accidet outside the bar, and a woman came out to the cop on the scene and gave him a table cloth for the accident victom and walked back into the bar. When the cop walked to the bar to talk to her , he found the bar completely unoccupied for the last 10yrs or so and no woman or linens inside.

There are ghosts in my folks house. Namely my grandmother (who died years before I was born.) Also my aunt (who was like a grandmother to me). I remember being 9 or 10 and hearing walking on the second floor; when everyone was downstais.
For a few years after my aunt died she would come and sit on my bed for a few minutes a night. At first it would freak me out but than I would just talk to her.

I am totally addicted to this show.
I stayed up for the whole Halloween special at the hotel the The Shinning was based on.
I have had numerouse "encounters"- starting since I was 3. Weird stuff would happen in the house that my parents rented. I would kick and scream when my my brought me down a hallway of the house- like violently- causing bruises on my my mom. I would walk in my sleep and show up in my folks bedroom and say starnge things..like using large vocabulary word that couldnt possibly know at 3.
We moved out when my folks bought a house and my aunt, uncle and cousins moved into our old house and my younger cousin experiences a lot of the same stuff. At one point he was acting posessed and used to growwwl in his sleep- they moved out shortly after.
My folks and my aunt and uncle compare stories and went to town hall to investigate the history of the house.... There were no historical records on file for the house- almost like it didnt exist.
The house was later knocked down and is now a Gold's Gym.
Being from CT there are many documented haunted sites- my friends and I used to frequent these places.. I have many stories.
I have attended many of the lectures hosted by the Warrens. Unfortunately Ed Warren died just last year. But their lectures were freaky.
Another show to check out is called "A haunting" on Discovery. Its more of a documary than actual live documentation like ghost hunters ...but still freaky. Especially since alot of the episodes are based around where I live.

I have been thinking alot about Ghost Hunters lately...I am pretty sure that they are the most average dudes on television today. Something about being surrounded by rich entitled assholes that makes a bunch of dudes from Jersey looking for spirits kind of refreshing.
It's also nice that they approach their investigations as skeptics as opposed to Most Haunted where every tap on the wall or piece of dust is attributed to paranormal activity.

Has anyone else checked out the new season so far? The episodes where they were in Ireland/England were pretty damn interesting, especially that church that was housed by satanists.
Forgot to mention that SciFi is having a contest for the next Ghosthunter where a winner will be apart of the team. I didn't read much on it, but you have to answer a few questions on video and send it in. Seems like an interesting idea.
