There have been a ton of movies and to a lesser extent TV shows focused about growing up, coming of age, being a kid etc. in both the 1950's and 1960's, examples Stand by Me, Grease, American Graffiti, Diner to name a few

The have also been a few movies focused on the 1930's and 1940's although no to the extent of the 50's and 60's Brighton Beach Memoirs and Biloxi Blues, Radio days

all these movies were made after the time they have been depicting so my question is where are the 1970's and 1980's nostalgia movies?

Why do you think there arent more movies made that focus about youth during the 1970/1980's?

And what are some of your favorites?

It's not a movie, but since the series was so short lived (though critically acclaimed), it doesn't take long to watch.
