just to clarify....I am trying to manage the gailo situation but it is far worse than it sounds....her mood swings are moment to moment and severe and violent...she is beyond control....my attempts to manage her over the years have utterly failed and she was well on her way to a drug induced death.....I am making every effort to find a solution for what i consider a hopeless problem...Melly wisely decided to leave untill I get my situation concluded with gailo.....but we speak dailyI really want to figure out how gail can survive in this world and don't wish her ill despite the fact the she has been a destructive force on everything she comes in contact withI feel that God has put me in an impossible situation and would like everyone to pray that he releases me from my evil bondage so I may be allowed to find some happiness(of course, I realize a lot of people don't give a crap but, what the heck, it was worth a shot)

Good luck Paul.  I wish I had some advice but I don't think any of us really know what it is like to be going through what you are.  All I can think of is... take care of yourself first, then see what you can do to help Gail.

Paul,As someone who was married (a long time ago) to a man with dual diagnosis (alcoholism & drug addiction AND paranoid schizophrenia), I know how hard this is for you. You are doing the right thing. She will get better when SHE wants to - none of this has anything to do with you. It's about her. You're not abandoning her - you're saving yourself. Sometimes that's the only thing to do.Please tell Melly that I miss her and she should feel free to email me, pm me, send up smoke signals.Don't worry, Paul - all will be well in the Garden, just hang in and hang on and do what you need to do for yourself. hey spankfrank...thanks for putting things in perspective....knowing all about Elton and the song Someone Saved My Life tonight...I know that elton pathetically failed to gas himself in the oven in his apartment.....unfortunately I have an electric oven and it's situated too high up for me to get my head comfortably in for the required amount of time....but I appreciate all the kind words and I hope everyone knows I support Melly 100% through these hard times

Paul,.....I want to tell you I know by listening to your wife and hearing the falling story....It must be the painkillers....I know them all by heart.(Not anymore)..Just spend the money to put her in rehab for at least 60 days no less!!!(VERY IMPORTANT).........When she is in there visit her 3 times a week(Important).....As she changes back  check your heart and your own life events.......But as deep as she is in with the demons... The clear thinking will start to happen....You will know what to do after 30 days in to it ...The staying will be clear or divorce...  you both will know it.......

I feel for ya PaulO.  Like others have said, the time will pass and things will get better.  And i hope this question is appropriate, but what happened with Paulo's "other" situation with the flight attendant girl.  Is GailO back in the situation for good?  I'm behind the times with this one...

Run Paul run!!! I think by sticking around you are enabling her behavior.  It is an unhealthy situation, and you are not helping either one of you by sticking around.  If you're still dealing with her because you feel bad, you gotta get over it, and realize she's going down no matter what, and she will only take you with her.

Remember PaulO, When you live with a person who is "sick" You can lose yourself and your mental health as well. I think YOU should seek some form of help for the problems you have confronted for such a long time. We all know you still have love for GailO or you wouldn't have done any of this at all.The new girl made you feel "human" again and you saw your reality from afar and have seen how out of control it is. You are really a good guy for trying so hard. Take care of yourself first,then it will be easier to deal with her problem.Best to you and Never Give up!!
