Nah, I spoke to Funk a few weeks back and he's just really busy. From what I know all is fine, just not as much time to post away of late. He'll be back soon though.

"AHHHHH Old Friends"

You guys are REALLY The Best!

I am doing well. Work has been very busy, besides full-time at the office I am on-call 6 out of every 8 weeks and brother I have been up many wee morning hours with people in New Delhi, Manila, Singapore, Brussels, Hong Kong, and dozens more sites all over the place. It's been burn-out city.

Plus and this will be a shocker but I am just recently divorced, as of Feb 21st. So I have been going through alot of emotions and paying alot of extra attention to my daughters and their well-being as my ex-wife and I completed the process.

No need to for sympathy, the divorce actually went very well/smooth in comparison to the horror stories i've been hearing along the way. We grew apart and when I made a decision to not work at the relationship anymore then in reality "it was over". I did not cheat or drown myself in substance, I would never want to lose the respect of the people around me and especially my daughters. I just made a decision to go in a different direction and am making the best of that decision.

I have no shame, we had a good almost 21 year marriage and we created two beautiful human beings which are our two daughters. We worked hard for everything we have. We used mediation and Chada(my ex) obtained a lawyer just to make sure all matters got handled properly, I did not obtain a lawyer. The process took just approx 8 months and just 20 minutes in Court for the Judge to grant the divorce.

Chada is doing well, the kids are doing well. A big part that helps is thay are able to remain in the house. They are good kids and they know we love them and we know they love us. I've only been out of the house for three weeks now, living 19 miles away at my Dad's home so I can be there for the girls whenever I can "besides" when they are with me every other weekend. Dad is getting older and slowing down and i can be helpful to him as well.

So No Worries and Thanks guys for the kind thoughts. I miss being on the board and hanging with all of you sweet people (okay with the exception of Marc with a c - he called me old :-))

I hope to be around more often, it makes me happy!

Thanks again guys for the kind words.

I just wanted to add a little bit more to the story. Yes me and Torker have been having an affair and are getting married in June and you're all invited! LOL

Anyway,

I just wanted to let you know that things are going very well but there were some pretty tough times along the way. I didn't want to just paint a rosey picture. It's not an easy decision when you have two daughters and the day I sat down with them to let them know of my decision was extremely tough. The last thing a father ever wants to do is hurt their children. In my mind I knew things would turn out alright in time as I continued to show them that I loved them and would be there for them even when living in a different place.

I continue to struggle a bit from time to time with the feeling that I abandoned them and i don't believe that that will ever really go away.

Chada was deeply hurt, she never imagined something like this would ever happen, she is also a devout Catholic and it just added to her pain. We just drifted apart and had two different views on so many things. She was hurt and angry in the early stages but knew it was inevitable and wanted to do what was best for the kids. She really is a good woman and a great mother to the kids. She works full-time, commutes to PA, and over the past 10 years has obtained her 4 year degree at Rider and always stayed on The Deans list. All that along with making meals, running kids around, helping them for hours with their homework(cause I certainly was no help :-)) I only helped with art projects. I have the upmost respect for her but I just fell out of love. We talk a couple times a week regarding family business and continue to work together as parents.

Living with my Dad is not so bad, the guy loves to eat and cook. I'm getting broccoli rabe and scarole like every other day. The guy can cook like nobody's business. It just bugs me when he tells me to clean my room -lol Just like old times... And he can make my daughters laugh like you wouldn't believe. They are now actually spending alot more time with Pop-Pop and really enjoying it.

Life has a few turns, it seems you have to go with the skid 'just like driving'

Thanks for reading that and again for the well wishes and reachouts!

Funk(Ron)

Sorry to hear the stuff you've been going through. It's good that you're able to vent and share your feelings and concerns. It's not easy thing to do sometimes. What a ride life is.
