As I'm getting closer to my wedding, I've started shopping for gifts for my wedding party. I've made a couple of decisions about what I'm getting for them, but I wanted to throw it out there and see if you guys had any ideas. I'm not really too enthused about getting them shot glasses or beer steins or the typicals "things remembered" stuff.

One of my groomsmen is a big sports fan (Yankees, Dolphins) and is moving into a new fixer-upper a month before the wedding, one is a big movies fan, and my best man is a big racing fan. As I said, I already made some decisions based on these themes, but I'm looking for enhancement gifts.

Any suggestions would be awesome... thanks!

Another idea was getting all my groomsmen nice rolex watches, while my best man gets a framed, autographed poster-sized picture of me.

I think a sub 100 dollar watch is a really nice idea, and you can def find a LOT of nice ones. you can get 3 different ones and let them pick, or get 3 identical ones.

Although the "nice day out" is a really cool idea and one I was considering, it's hard to organize that because the Best Man doesn't live in the local area, and the other groomsmen work on the weekends and one is under a constant deadline.

I was thinking of taking them out individually over the summer... or something.

He got to drive a Nascar car at Dover Downs for about 10 laps. They gave him a few more than 10 and he LOVED it. It cost me about $250. There are some packages that are $1000+ but the one at Dover was cheap and well worth it. Might make a good gift for your best man.

I was a groomsman last June for an old friend of mine. He gave out black I-pods that were engraved to all the guys. The girls got white ones. If you order online through the apple store the engraving is painless. I've used it a lot and probaly would not have bought one for myself.

I got my guys a Dual Picture frame ... when they opened the box it had an old "classic" photo of me and that specific groomsman. The other frame was left empty to house a picture of us in our tuxes from the wedding.

a couple of years ago my boyfriend was in a wedding party & all the groomsmen were given a ticket to see the who at pnc for a boys night out. i guess it was a good idea, but not everyone was able to make it that night & some (my boyfriend included) were not the biggest fans (or fans at all). since one of the groomsmen had an extra ticket i somehow wound up with it. we only stayed for a little while & it turned out to not be such a bad night, even though it had rained all day & the ground was wet so we coudlnt even sit down anywhere.
