Yups, it will be my first public outing in it at the Garden.  Now if only Andrew had gotten "Hickcox" on his and not Richter people might get it and might not think I'm wearing a mislabeled Colton Orr jersey.

WTF???????Excuse me for not being able to afford seasons tickets. But I have been to SEVERAL games this year. One of the reasons the Devils do not sell out is because we are too damn close to a city that had already established not one but TWO major successful hockey teams. (let's not forget...the Devils came to NJ in the middle of the Islanders 4-cups-in-a-row heydey). So the success to draw out not only NJ pride but frustrated Rangers fans really flunked. I admit the Rangers have very loyal fans. As do the Isles. Yea so we do not sell out games, somehow we Devils fans ARE out there and proud of our team. And when we speak up or do the trash talking (because we CAN since our team kicks ass) we get the usual "oh boo you can't even sell out playoff games". Yea...and? We still win. And that is the bottom line. Whose team wins...and who goes home early. So make fun of the seats all you want, we will keep making fun of your TEAMS. I could give a rats ass about who sits in the seats...as long as my team keeps winning.  But I will admit...it absolutely BLOWS NUTS that the Devils are moving to, what is soon to be, the worst city in the USA. I bet when the worst city in the US poll comes out Newark will be tops on that list. If not than at least the top 5.

Justice, I can't afford season seats either.  My beef with the devils (aside from them being sworn enemies of the Rangers) is their fans.  Not the real fans who follow the teams and know stats and acutally enjoy watching and actually do watch the boys, the bandwagon winner pickers who use the devils as a chance to just run their mouth and only like them becasue it is popular..this is inherently my same argument about most yankee fans as well.  Don't be a winner picker bandwagon jumper.  That is why they can't sell out.  That being said I don't mean anything against you and Brett and people who are genuine fans, I just run my mouth to give you guys guff and rag on the large crossection of fans who are just douchebags.  Fans of opposing teams are just going to say stuff to rub one another the wrong way.  Sorry to get ya so fired up.

I've never posted anything sports related but I finally have something to contribute.  You fuckers better be proud of me!   I was at the Rangers game last night and witnessed the Orr/Fed-whatever fight.  I had no idea the game even started and all of the sudden the place goes insane and there's a fight!  A good fight!  Gwen told me this kind of fight never really happens so we were in for a blood bath!   The game was really awesome to see in person, all the chants and stuff, I chanted right along, so needless to see I'm a new hockey fan and a Rangers fan!  Potvin sucks!

I heard somewhere that people jump on the Devils bandwagon. Yeah, the Devils are probably he most hated team in hockey because they play such a tight defense and there's not a lot of goals in their games. So, when ESPN is looking for highlights to put on their 5 minute blurb about hockey, they rarely get anything from a Devils game. And then they'll show a hit and say how hockey is such a stupid violent game. Barry Melrose had the best comment about the fight. He didn't take a side over if fighting is good or bad for the game, he just said how hockey players are the most athletic, and most determined athletes in the world. Amen Barry.

You know, I just read up on how Fedoruk just came back from major facial surgery.  So he's either a really tough motherfucker or just really fucking stupid to put his career in potential jeopardy by getting into a fight 30 seconds into the game. He is apparently "OK" - just concussed - but if he was really fucked up, Orr may have looked really bad because he did initiate the fight.
