<p>Saturday night a goup of 3 guys stole both of the laptops in my apartment. I was home. It;s a long story. My boyfriends computer was one of the labtops and he's out of town on a business trip. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>I'm getting very depressed thinking about how much money we lost and what could have happened to me. </p><p>It was partly my fault because I was too much of a trusting person and never thought this could happen to me. </p><p>I'm glad I'm safe. But I'm very upset.</p><p>Any kind words would be appreciated. To say the least I won't be in the chatroom for a while. :( </p>

Getting robbed is an invasion of your privacy not to mention losing all your stuff. I'm glad to hear nothing happened to you and your boyfriend. You can always get your stuff back. Wow Leticia, I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad you're okay though. I mean I know it sucks, though I'm glad you're safe. What sucks about things like this happening is that it makes you jaded to people and the world in general. I've been robbed, I know it blows, it's even worse when it happens in your place.

I know they live here and I know where to look for them. And or where they would hang out. I'm guessing they're gonna lay low anyway for a little while. We probably won't get our computers back cause they prob. sold them already but we will get their names so that we can turn them in to the police.</p>

you could maybe track the laptop using the MAC address of the NIC Card. not sure if rf.net keeps that recorded somewhere, or if dell has it on record. That way if you do track it down, the police can verify that it is yours. sorry to hear about this, but at the same time when you think about what could have been, this is insignificant to being in the hospital from a beating or worse.

Ah shit, too late. When I was 14 I got hit by a car (and I mean me, not my car), and the fuckers drove off. There were about a dozen witnesses who got thier plates, and one of these people were even kind enough to follow the bastards home to find out where they lived and them come back to the scene to tell the cops. My entire leg was a fucking giant bruise for months, and I had to walk on crutches for a while. But the cops said since I was jaywalking, they couldn't do anything about it. As to how jaywalking excuses a hit and run I'll never figure out. I'm sure it was because my hair was cut as a mohawk at the time.

Anyway, I am very sorry to hear about what happened, Leticia.

when I was 10 i was home with my two brothers 5 and 12, and 3 men with a gun entered our apt in jersey city. my Mom mistakingly let them in after they knocked, she mistook their response to her "who is it" as a name of one of my eldest brothers friends. they were ready to tie up my mom, dad, and us three boys but my younger brother started to cry loudly and they got nervous and took off shortly afterwards...
