Only a German animal rights group would demand the death of an animal.

Let the bear live in captivity for God's sake. Why kill a living creature when he can bring joy to legions of elementary school kids on field trips? I'm sure when he's getting his 150 lbs of hand selected Cod everyday he won't be pining for oily penguin meat. And if he is...throw him a school kid every once in a while.

Couldnt they sneak it into a hibernating regular bear's den that already has babies and see what happens? Dont regular bears give birth while they are hibernating and dont even see them until spring?
