Me and some of the late night chat room crew were thinking about putting together a bowling outing. We thought...what the hell.

Well...if you are interested please post here. We will take suggestions for lanes as well as when.

We want to keep the place accesable to all members. So if you choose a place in Long Island or NJ please make sure it is somewhat close to a train for those member who cannot drive.

Also keep in mind price. If the places are about the same in cost as the places in Manhatten we might as well keep it in the city.

We were thinking a saturday afternoon in mid to late April. If not then early May.

Main reason why mid afternoon: Anytime late afternoon/evening it is league play until usually about 10-11pm.

Ok all....post away for those interested.

P.S. This was allowed/accepted/genrally liked by our favorite postman...Bobby P!

Bowlmor in NYC is cool. I think that's the name, it's been a long time. And I'd possibly be in if it works for me and we bring Justice a muzzle and register him with the neighborhood we go to. Hell, it is the law, Meagan's law I believe.

The easiest for everyone to get to - possibly - and maybe the cheapest in Manhattan is the bowling alley in the Port Authority Bus Terminal. I've bowled there before, and it's alright. It would suit us properly.

<>Bowlmor is really expensive.

Chelsea Piers is stupid crazy expensive.

it looks like it can get fairly expensive if we do not get a significnt group together.
Does anyone know if there is any lanes in Hoboken or Weehawken NJ?

Thank you for your interest in Bowlmor Lanes!

For a group of 20-25ppl there are 2 different ways to make the reservation. The first would be to reserve 3-4 lanes for a 2 1/2 hour time block with 5-7 people per lane whether they are bowling or not. The lane rate on a Saturday is $235 per lane for 2 1/2 hours of unlimited use, plus $5.50 per person for shoes. In addition to reserving the lanes you would also be required to purchase some food and/or an open bar package. The other alternative is to book one of our 2 hour party packages which already include food and beverages. By making the reservation it guarantees the lanes would all be next to each other and ready for your group when you arrive. In order for this to be reserved we would work everything into a contract and have it all pre-paid before your party date. These two options are the only way to make the reservation so if they don’t work for you, you can come in retail which is handled on a first come, first serve basis

Which side? Was there any progress since the photo I posted?

The side we were bowling on was old and beat-up. I hope they at least got the other half done by December.

The closest bowling centers in Jersey are

Hudson Lanes - Bayonne - Big place but a dive.

Wallington Lanes - Wallington - Nice place know the manager so could get a good deal.

Bowler City - Hackensack - Nice Clean Place but pricey

Jersey Lanes - Edison - Clean Place but not sure on prices

Those are the closest to the city I can think of.
