<p>On today's show, the topic came up of songs that, when you hear them, they make you think of certain scenes in movies. An example is the Ronettes' "Be My Baby" makes you think of the opening of Mean Streets.</p><p>What songs make you think of certain scenes. For me:</p><p>Steeler's Wheel - "Stuck in the Middle with You" - The ear cutting scene in Reservoir Dogs</p><p>The Faces - "Ooh La La" - the closing of Rushmore</p><p>Night Ranger - "Sister Christian"/Rick Springfield - "Jesse's Girl" - the botched drug deal in Boogie Nights</p>

<p>"Gimme Shelter" by the Stones - multiple stuff.</p><p> </p><p>"Inna Gadda Da Vida" - Michael Mann's "Manhunter", with a very young William Peterson as Will Graham.</p><p> </p>

"Sister Christian" always makes me think of that coked-up wack job in Boogie Nights, with his little Chinese boy-toy wandering around letting off firecrackers at random intervals.

Urge Overkill "Girl you'll be a Woman Soon"-Pulp Fiction and The Rolling Stones "Time is on my Side" in Fallen(with Denzel and John Goodman)
Two with The Big Lebowski:
1) "Hotel California" by The Gypsy Kings - the scene where Jesus bowls
2) "Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)" by Kenny Rogers and the First Edition - The Gutterballs acid flash back.
Also:
-"Mad World" by Gary Jules - The ending sequence in Donnie Darko
-"Adagio for Strings" (It's actually used in a lot of films!!!) - The scene in Platoon where Elias gets gunned down by the VC.

Gimme Shelter by the Stones reminds me of every Tarantino movie made...and Apocalypse now. Lots of songs remind me of movies even thought they weren't actually a part of the movie or had anything to do with it.

I'd have to say every single time I hear "Tiny Dancer" it makes me think of Almost Famous. Every time.
Mixing it up a bit...
Joan Jett - "Bad Reputation" - "Freaks & Geeks"
Iggy Pop - "Lust for Life" - Royal Caribean commercials (DAMN THEM!)
Garbage - "Stupid Girl" - The Ron and Fez Show
Anything from Lou Reed and ICP - also The Ron and Fez Show
Anything from Marilyn Manson - The Hideout
The Eagles "In the City" always reminds me of the end of "The Warriors".
Donovan - Atlantis : Goodfellas
Derek and the Dominoes - Layla : Goodfellas
Iggy Pop - Lust For Life : Trainspotting
Bob Dylan - The Man in Me : Big Lebowski
CCR - Lookin out my back door : Big Lebowski
Al Green - So Tired Of Being Alone : New Jack City
ugh! Too many to even list...
