I've gotten excellent meals over the years at both diners and truck-stops. I guess in many cases you could combine the two. The diner I go to now used to be open 24-7, and you could smoke. Now it closes at 10PM and you can't smoke because of a city ordinance.
But the food hasn't changed.
I always get breakfast. Chicken-fried steak (freshly-made) with gravy, on one plate. On the other plate are the hash- browns and three eggs over-easy.
Big-ass portions and always fresh.
Anyone else have a favorite diner meal?
