RonFez.Net 2.0 Issue Reporting

I know there's things like images missing and whatnot. The only intentional one is the Logo in the top left. Tune in Monday for news about that. But if you find a problem or something, please report it below and I'll get to it tomorrow. If you think it is needed, include a screen shot.

Also, when you post a hyperlink, the blue text indicating that this is a clickable link (http://goldblumretriever.ytmnd.com/)is kind of lost in the blue background of the page.

It appears that I've fixed the problem. All I had to do was put the code for my sig pic wayyyyy down in the space provided on the "User CP" page. On a Mac using Firefox, the space for sig pics is about 10 miles long.

Actually i think this is better, because now when you log in later in the day you arent looking at ALL of todays discussions, only what has been posted since your last visit. much more efficient. the way i use the "new post" search is to open each thread of the search in a new tab/window and keep the search page open in the background. refer to it after you read each thread. just my 0.02$

i fixed that myself as soon as i saw it. The spacing between my sig and the text doubled or tripled i guess. all fixed, sorry.

Not an issue so much as a suggestion - there's no notification when you receive a PM. On the old RonFez.Net a drop down would appear the second you logged on telling you that you'd received a private message. Now, if you don't look in the upper left hand corner or check your inbox you'll never know.

If you go to the Quick Links button and click Today's Posts it's gives you more.

Seems I constantly have to log back onto the board whenever I am inactive for any length of time. The old version I could keep the board open in the background, here If I'm away or looking at other sites I'm automatically logged off. Will this be a permanent feature? I hope not, but if so, I suppose I can live with the inconvience. :wallbash:

On a more positive note, I like the new site (for the most part). I like the new larger font, easier on the eyes for all the senior members of the board.

I've noticed a few oddities and glitches but I'm still willing to give it time for you to sort out. If not, you'll be hearing from a very angry RoseBlood! :furious: J/K

I have no complaints about the new board at all and I love all the potential that it now has.

My only real wishes are more in terms of comfort, is there any way to add a Reply button next to each post to save the hassle of having to scroll to the top or bottom to reply?

The other suggestion, would be to add a link at the bottom of the page similar to the top that takes you to the main forums (http://www.ronfez.net/forums/index.php) page. I know there is a drop down menu at the bottom as well, though a direct link would be great as well.

If they can be added great, if not no big deal. Just a thought.

if you leave the window with the board in active for an amount of time, it automatically logs you out. i still haven't figured out how much time it is though.

I put instructions on the Free FM listening thread. I figured it out by looking at the PMs. They do this automatically, and once I looked at the code, it wasn't too hard to do it here. Just a little bit of work. May not be worth it to do it every time.

I posted a thread and the page just hung there trying to load my thread. I hit POST again, and nothing happened. I closed the window, went to the site again and it had created 2 posts of the same thing: A thread you open and there's no text.

Also, when some pages load it moves the screen to the middle of the page suddenly for no reason. It sucks because it does it as I start to type sometimes.

At the bottom of each page is the option to get to the last page, so I would click that if I wanted to see the last post. Yes. I was playing with text colors because they are hard to distinguish against the background from the regular text. I went too bright at first, toned it down a little, and I'll fix it a little better this evening, but I wanted it to stand out a little more.

First you have to multi-quote all quotes you want to use. Every multi quote will start off with Quote=username; surrounded by brackets (let's call that "start code"). You have to move each of these starting codes to the top of the post. Then you need to put them in the right order. So if you're quoting Stugots, quoting me, quoting Reilly. You have to start your post with the last Stugots start code, then my start code, then Reilly's. You leave everything else alone and it should work. It's a little bit of work, so as I said it may not be worth it every time
