How will Earl end?

Most producers leave the show becuase they have other ambitions (managment, their own show) or Ron and Fez drive them crazy. I'm not sure if either of these will happen with Earl. He doesn't seem to have any ambitions beyond producer, and Ron is trying to point out his short-comings (like his inability to talk on air, despite being in radio), but Earl has built an excuse in his head every time ("my throat hurts", "i'm out of it this week", etc.) Ron and Fez are all Earl has, so I don't see how he'll ever leave the show.

Earl wont End , He is ok at the off air tasks, (Getting Guests and Button Pushing). I am willing to bet Earl Wouldnt Listen to Ron And Fez, if he wasnt in Radio. His personality is not in Sync with the Fans.

Every dog has his day. Earl's highwater mark on the show was when he did the homerun call a while back. That recording will eventually leak out and like Michael Buffer and his "Let's get ready to rumble" gig, Earl will have a long tour of Major League Ballparks doing homerun calls following huge game-winning shots. Crowds will be oblivious to the player trotting around and touching the bags. They'll be too busy chanting....

dudeman, in terms of days months and years,you are correct, as I am taking your word for it, as I have no desire to actually try to find out that information.

the thing you are missing is in the comparison...you have not figured in the x factor, or in this case the x/m factor.

It is like calculating a dog's life. What is it? The # of years times 9 to calculate how old a dog is in a human life cycle. Is it 9?

Producing a show at WNEW is like a dogs year compared to producing show at X/M.

I think most of you know the differences. I am not going to sit here and name all or some of them, cause if you don't know, it's tough to answer this anyway. all I will say is the glaring difference of running commercials and having to break at specific times. I do not believe Earl deals with others in or around the station like sales people and such, as they usually run hand in hand with commercials. Trust me, that in itself can be a nightmare, just trying to make and keep everyone happy, from client to sales tosales mgr to pd to gen mgr and back down and than to Al and deal with it as producerso the guys didn't. In a perfect world anyway.

So in that respect Al has to have his time multiplied by a factor greater than 1, or a figure that is based on how much more difficult it was at WNEW than it is at X/M. That is your X/M factor...that is the X in the ratio.

Until he got to X/m, he never 'produced' a full time talk show' at WNEW. Muni was a different era, alot of long music breaks for God knows what when Scottso and EJ the DJ or Lennon disappeared during funeral for a friend/loves lies bleeding, thats when i would give Earl some producer credit

in defense of my original intent on this thread- if you read my original post, it isn't "earl bashing." regardless of the particular time earl has been with the show, he has been there as one of the longer acting producers. rnf seem to usually like to sort of reinvent the show with different producers/friends/bits/intro's (ie. where are jan brady and fezatorials?). so with the idea that the show usually likes turnover, what would be the situation under which earl could leave?
