Fez needs a puppy!!

Listening to Fez on the air and hearing about his depression made my heart go out to him.

I think Fez needs a puppy!!!!

It has been shown over that dogs lift the depressed moods of those who are in the hospital. I have also read over and over how many senior citizens lives have completely changed since they got dogs.

For one thing it will improve his overall health because he will be forced to go outside and walk the dog.

The dog will lift his mood because Fez will be forced not be totally thinking about himself.

And, honestly, dogs are just fun to have around!

Anyone agree?

Let me speak from recent experience

Depression + puppy =anxiety, stress and panic attacks, usually followed bya method of choice for mood relaxation when the little black bitch from hell finally crashes for the night

Nothing like being home all day with a mom who calls it a cat and a hyperactive 4 month old puppy with claws like a Jewish middle aged woman in Merrick, sitting at the salon kibitzing

This puppy has not helped my depression one bit, except when it goes to sleep, and than i can medicate with 1 or 2 pills beloe Anna Nicole and have a few hours of peace and quiet, before its time for more pain medication to bend over and clean up more piss and shit all over the house

If he gets a dog he should go to a shelter and rescue one. I recently adopted a dog and really have had nothing but fun...with some exceptions. There was that one incident where it found my Ray-Bans and chewed them to bits. Nothing but two lenses and twisted metal left. And the case of course. Untouched was the case. Fucker. Favorite pair of sunglasses. And there was that time it chewed through my vacuum cleaner cord. I finally broke it of it's chewing habits. Damn right I did. ZAPPP!

But there are the brisk evening walks. They're great. Now. But at first whenever it saw a deer, stray cat or dog, or skunk, it almost ripped my shoulder out of socket when it wanted to give chase. I cured it of that with an electric collar as well. ZAPPP! It finally became walkable.

And there is the matter of breed to consider. I knew mine wasn't 100% lab, though it did look mostly lab. Unfortunately there was a lot of Chow mixed in as well. At around 6 months it's tail started curling around to form a question mark. So looking at it from behind it looks like a question mark...with it's asshole being the dot. An asshole dog! Never have been fond of the asshole dogs but it has personality. What the hell. And it knocks me out of bed in the mornings...keeping me from sleeping in on days off. It literally starts headbutting and then body-slamming. Not that big a deal till I look up and see asshole inches away.

Maybe Fez SHOULD consider a gerbil or hamster. Then they can add "Ol' Habitrail Butt" to his long list of characters.

Between the 2 shows, Fez is gone all. Leaving a puppy alone for 9 or 10 hours a day is cruel.

I agree with Torker, I think a nice Cuban busboy waiting for Fez to come home every night would cheer him up considerably.

i know my 2 new cats have helped my depression, pets CAN do wonders but it might depend on the person. i'm still not the happiest person in the world but thats my burden to bear and i guess thats how i just deal with it.

What HTG said yesterday about not buying dogs or cats from the pet store is true. Dave didn't realize that the pet stores are one of the reasons that puppy mills exist. That's where the pet stores get their dogs. I think a caller suggested buying from a breeder would be better, and it is. Just do a little research into the breeder, who should be inspected and approved by the county every few years. There's a lot of shitty breeders who still operate after having their kennel license revoked. If you don't necessarily want a pure bred dog, please go to an animal shelter and adopt there. That would be the bestest thing to do.

Fez getting a puppy is probably the worst idea I've ever heard. Not only for Fez but for the poor dog that would be subjected to his nuttiness.
