The last few years, since my wife's death, I really haven't been friendly to people...I avoid getting involved with others.....I've been to a few board functions but have always left early....the only thing I like to do is go to 6am mass....because hardly anyone wlse is ther

Well partner, it is going to sound corny, but at least you are reckognizing the problem. Now just have to take some steps to go in the other direction. Instead of avoiding people altogether and not going to events, why dont ya try going to a couple. Hell you have a golden opporitunity tommorow. And if you show up, Ill buy ya a drink. Maybe even two if you are good.

I think I know what you mean. I avoid people alot too. I've found over the past few years that I just need to be more accepting of peoples mannerisms and opinions. Also I needed to stop consiously avoiding people, maybe try going to a more populated mass? It might be a start. Try putting yourself in social sitiuations that you normally would avoid. It will SUCK at first, but you might see something attractive in the people around you that you missed.
