Let's See, The Regime In Iran Depends Almost Exclusively On Oil Revenues To Survive.

Oil Prices Had Declined Dramatically, Hence Their Revenues Had Declined.

They Gin-Up An "Incident" That Makes The World Very Nervous.

Oil Prices Shoot Up Out Of Market Fear.

Iran's Oil Revenues Shoot Up.

With More Money, The Regime Survives Longer.

Do Not Look For This "Incident" To End Any Time Soon. Why Would They Want It To?

PS: Fat's Looking Forward To YerMojoFlyBox Blaming It On Halliburton.

If politicians would stop talking shit and actually do something about alternative fuels, flex fuel, etc, then Iran wouldn't have any stroke.

You Got That Right! Starting With Nuclear, Like France Does. It Is INEXCUSABLE That After 40 Years Of "Energy Crises" And Reliance On Foreign Oil, That We Are Still At The Mercy Of These Creeps! INEXCUSABE Behavior On The Part Of Both Democrats And Republicans. Shameful!

Why make it so easy?

By exploiting a loophole in the U.S. sanctions law, Halliburton does business in Iran’s natural gas industry (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6982444/site/newsweek/). According to your own logic - that the semen-snatching benefited Iran by raising the oil prices and thus their income through fear that their supplies might be interrupted and therefore that’s why they did it – natural gas prices would naturally rise for the same reason, enriching both Iran and Halliburton, and providing Halliburton with the same motive as Iran, and since you’re equating motive with guilt, Halliburton is guilty because it has the same motive as Iran.

You know, if your theory wasn’t so stupid in the first place that might have been difficult.

OK, now you do the same with why Barak Obama is to blame.

the semen-snatching

Is this turning into another another gay-bashing thread?

It's no coincidence the Iranians took the British seamen. Apparently it was well known that the British were under direct orders to not fire on any Iranians, even though they witnessed to entire event. I heard on some radio newscast that the American commanders in the area all said to the effect they wouldn't have hesistated a second to intervene.

Another problem is that the British naval fleet is a mess due to many years of budget cutbacks and neglect, so there's not a whole lot they can do about it. Expect a lot of impassioned speeches on the Parliament floor and not much else for a long time.

And I don't believe Haliburton had any role in this anymore than I believe the US blew up the WTC. Although I'm sure Rosie O"Donnell will have some calm well-reasoned thoughts to the contrary.

It might turn out to be a disaster for Iran. There is already a carrier group in the gulf. I think Iran uses the Straits of Hormuz for their exports of oil. The navy can impose a blockade so no oil gets out of Iran.

The only ones that can get us out of this mess is us. Former Senator Bill Bradley was interviewed and he said that if we improve our average gas mileage to what it is in Europe (about 43 mpg) we would not need to import a drop of foreign oil. But God forbid, we don't have the FREEDOM to buy our gas-guzzling SUVs.

For the record I don't believe Halliburton had anything to do with it either. I just didn't want to pass up a challenge or the opportunity to state that Halliburton does in fact do business with the "Axis of Evil". They were doing business in Iraq before the war too. They have no problem enriching our "enemies" if it enriches them in the process.

And Rosie O'Donnell is fat. Yerdaddy Likes To Call Her Fat_Rosie.
