Just picked up the MDX model. This is my 3rd Acura. Ive had a 99 TL Then went for the 04 TL. This time I decided for the MDX. Acuras in my opinion are the finest autos on the road today. They are a division of Honda and Hondas you can basically run them into the ground, they last forever.

My brother bought his wife a MDX. It drives smooth, decent on gas and looks real nice. I love luxury cars. Mercedes and BMW are the original luxury but when honda came out with Acura, Toyota came out with Lexus and Nissan came out with Infiniti they all put a hit on the competition. At first Acura destroyed Lexus and Infiniti with the Legend. Why they decided to drop that line and come out with the other I will never know. Other then the MDX I havet seen or driven a Acura I liked. The 3.5 RL was ok, my dad had one but they have really fallen behind Lexus and Infiniti IMO. Lexus has the es350, gs300 (beautiful) and the ls class. All beautiful luxury cars. Infiniti has come around the past 3 years or so. The Infiniti M class has put them back on the map and the q45 gets better every year.

Now that all being said, I drive another of the original luxury cars a Jaguar and I'm starting to hate it. Its an 8 cyl and eats gas, its long and looks real nice but there is something about it I'm getting tired of. This is my 2nd Jag and I liked my previous one better. Out of all the cars I have had my Fav was my Lexus gs300 before I bought both Jags. That car was beautiful and it was my first and only redish color car.

I've convinced myself that I will never buy anything but a toyota, my first car was an '83 corolla and I beat the shit out of it, never let me down, my dad's forerunner has 240,000 miles on it and is still reliable.
I'm going to have to buy a new car in the next few months, keep the comments coming, you're making me reconsider...

One thing I failed to mention about my GSR is that I beat the hell out of it too and still never had to bring it in for repairs.
Street racing and stuff.
With the exception of brakes and oil changes- routine stuff like that which my brother and I did ouselves.

My wife and I have a 2005 Acura MDX right now. When we move to CT, we will need a second car. I want an Acura TL, but my wife wants me to check out the Infiniti and Lexus. But the models that are equivalent to the TL in price do not have all of the features of the TL (Navigation, iPod hookup, Bluetooth, etc.), plus everyone keeps telling me how reliable it is.

I'm going to keep pushing the TL on my wife, but we'll probably do some test driving of the others.

My MDX is a 3.7L V-6 with 300 horses. Its amazing how they can design these engines with so much power and still not be gas guzzlers. I get 22 MPG on the highway which is decent for an SUV

With my MDX, I've been trying to get the best MPG I can, while still making good time to work. So far, my best on a full tank of gas was 24.3 MPG. But I'm usually around 22.5 to 23.5 MPG.
