When I lived in Asheville (irony?), there was a drummer for a band, that got killed by a drunk driver. The band Stuck Mojo did a song about his death. Anyway... his sister had his ashes put in a bunch of tiny glass vials. People would wear the vials on necklaces. There was a period of time when his sister lived with my fiance and me. When she moved out, she left one of the ash vials on our kitchen windowsill.

Now don't get me wrong. I liked the guy. His sister was kind of cool, too. But... We were creeped out by this vial of human ashes sitting on our kitchen windowsill. We didn't want it to be there, but we didn't want to throw it away, either. The whole thing was very uncomfortable. I think we ended up passing it on to someone who we thought may give it back to his sister.


In any case... I'd like to snort Keith Richards' ashes... if he ever dies.
