You can listen to the album in its entirety, and a tiny litlle celestial occurance magickally made it appear on my mp3 player.

If you like them at all, buy this.

I told my friend last night that this is an album I will not be burning for anyone. You must own this. It's that good.

Holy shit I love you for posting this link.

I don't think I've ever looked forward to an album as much as this one.

How odd, it also mysteriously ended up on my computer, about 15 minutes after I saw this thread. I'm listening to it now.

Agreed, but I am honestly buying this the day it comes out. If anything, to show support to one of the best artists of my lifetime.

Yes. The link is a legit NIN site.

And I was just going to ignore him.
This coming from a guy who lists Nirvana as one of his favorite bands.

The Fragile is one of my favorite albums ever and I really have enjoyed Year Zero.

It always surprises me when I find out people don't like The Fragile. Its easily one of my Top 5 favorite albums all time. I don't get all the hate.

His comment just reminded me of the people who always have to be, "Oh, their first album is the only one I ever listen to. I started listening before they got popular. They've suck since people started listening to them."

I love it, too, but like most double albums, it has too much filler, and a lot of that filler is absolute crap. There's enough songs on there for there to be one really awesome album, but the buffering of garbage turns a lot of people off.

After about 10 listen-throughs, I really think this might be his best work yet.
Supposedly, this is part one of a two part project, with the other album already slated for 08.
There is also talk about this being made into a movie.

See, when a drummer, a real drummer, is into an album... anyway, the last one was indeed the bomb, I listened for months, I marveled at how he gets those damned sounds, and his last album was easily his most 'song' based. Meaning, in Keyboard Mag he stated he wrote most of the last one on a simple piano, saying if the tune couldnt sound good on a piano, all the buzzsaw-guitar and synths and machine-gun-drum-machines in the world couldnt make it any better.

With Teeth is such an under appreciated album. I don't know if people just didn't listen to it enough or if it just wasn't what people were expecting, but its amazing.

The Fragile was an amazing album, it gets my vote for greatest double album of all time. As for my favourite NIN album I still have to go with "Broken". That album kills. I can't say that I dislike any of the work Trent has done with NIN. As for Year Zero I can't stop listening to it so far. It is amazing and I can't wait for the tour.

I own every single Halo except for 23 ,which must be the single for Survivalism but I'm not sure. Year Zero is Halo 24.

This album is definately the best NIN album since The Downward Spiral. Can't wait for the follow up album next year.

I would have to say that my favourite track so far would be "The Great Destroyer". That song gives me goosebumps when it plays.

It takes time, but the links on there are worth checking out.

One of my favorites.

Check out how your city is doing in 2022.
Love Philly's.
"Philadelphia has struggled to handle a growing population fed by southerners trying to escape stifling heat and people relocating from the eroding Jersey shore. But if you want a big city in the eastern time zone that DOESN'T smell like shrimp, Philly is fast becoming your best (and only) option.
W.C. Fields said it best: given the choice between death and Philadelphia, even Philadelphia wins.

Let's face it--the Eastern Seaboard has become the Eastern Flood Plain. New York, New Jersey, Maryland and North Carolina--sooner or later they'll get tired of sinking into the sea--and Philadelphia will be waiting."

i just picked it up last night & got to listen to some of it on my way to work. so far i really really like what i was hearing. i can't wait to finish it on my way home. i never buy cds anymore, but i had to pick up this one & the two killers cds last night. it's rare, but sometimes i really do want to show my support for the artist.

i used to collect every halo i could find, but somehow got distracted & i missed a few since the last album or two. i have no idea how many i'm behind, but i was a huge ebayer for those things too. same thing with anything the beasties put out.

Well I wish he had done the same thing with this new album, because whatever amazing formula he followed to make "With Teeth" wasn't used for "Year Zero."

Don't get me wrong, there are some ok tracks. Really like track 2, the 1st real song on the CD. There's a couple others, but overall I was less than impressed with this CD and haven't listened past track 7 or 8. I get bored.

The songs all shuffle along at this somewhat boring pace and never really pick up. Lots of slower songs that I don't feel crescendo into anything, like some of his earlier slow songs do.

I like NIN in general, but I REALLY liked With Teeth because it was so "band" based. Real people playing real instruments, or at least that's how he made it sound to me.

Year Zero is more of a return to his electronic sound, so I was kinda let down. And the slow tempos left me wanting something to get angry too.

Same here.
I could definitely understand how you wouldn't like this one if you liked With Teeth.

The thing that really makes this as great as it is(in my opinion), is all the things that coincide with the whole concept behind the album.
Obviously, you're not going to spend the time to read the tons of stuff that has been put out there if you don't like the music to begin with, but I think it really makes the album that much better.

I am waiting for the North American tour dates to support this album, it should be incredible if the tour is anything like the last two NIN shows I went to. I first saw NIN live on the Downward Spiral tour but the last two shows that I saw were amazing. The live visuals were mind-blowing, especially the Fragile v 2.0 show where I had a head full of mescaline to enhance the show.
