View Full Version : Sunday Roadtrip to Sheepy's Comic Book Store?

Anybody? I think we should go up there and keep the Sheepster company, if just for a little while. Pop in, look through a few trade paperbacks, buy an X-men comic, play a quick game of Warhammer 40K and bounce.
Anyone else? I bet there's a bitchin' gumball machine!
Sorry for the multiple threads, but the new site fucked me with my post, twice.

Saturday is always taken with me between rotating work days and practice/chilling with my friends. So if you guys elect to do it then, I can't make it.
But anyway, he's not working Saturday so we have to go Sunday or not at all at this point.

That's the official website of the comic store. Sheepy shot me the link awhile ago. I've always wanted to go check it out in the past but wasn't sure when Sheepy would be there. Afterall, he's the only reason I'd bother to go up there in the 1st place. I have a comic/hobby store I go to when I need geek stuff.
But maybe Sheepy can change my mind on this one. He's famous and I want to go bask in his glow.

I guess I should have checked the site before I opened my mouth about the hours. The site says they're open from 12-5.
Is that accurate Sheepy? Is there a time you'd prefer passers by and other fans to stop by?
Or actually, do you want a group of people? I guess we should ask permission to go 1st, Sheepy may not want to deal with a group of us. I know it's a public store, but he may not want all of us hanging around.

Yes, but the dress uniforms look cool.
This wasn't the F4's "dress" uniform, if they even had one, it was basically like, "OK, we're married, now let's go stop the Mole Men."
I mean, Sue didn't wear her F4 uniform.
At least in the Rise of the Silver Surfer trailer, they actively address this issue.

I couldn't place the tune of the "Funny Steve Song", then I realized it was to the tune of "I'm Checking Out" from the rehab musical that the Simpsons went to see when they visited New York City. I guess I do have a little bit of the geek.

I encourage anyone who visits Sheepy to hug him firmly and regularly. He is of the type that displays affection through touching and thus appreciates any and all body contact. A kiss on the cheek would certainly not be considered untoward. He's just too shy to make this fact known. Help the man out by initiating and you'll form a bond right off the bat.

Sheepy is also a foot fetishist, if you can't attend, it may behoove you to send pictures of your feet in lieu of attending. If you are too shy to take pictures of your own feet, I would recommend this site. (http://www.city-feet.com/) (NSFW?)

WIMPS! I was there Goddamn it! It's not a perfect storm out there, it's just raining. It's not even windy yet.
I showed up at like 1 and chilled with the Sheepster. There was a lovely young lady there and the owner even came in a couple times.
Sheepy is a fountain of knowledge about comics. He pointed me towards a couple trade paperbacks of Marvel stories I've missed in the past, and I picked up some pack of cards that seems to be a World of Warcraft card game. I bought it because there's the promise of possibly getting stuff in game from the packs so I'll probably be buying them until I get something cool.
I'll see if I can get there next week too. It's a nice store. Lots of stuff for the size the shop is.
Glad to have finally met Sheepy and shoot the shit with him for a time.

Sunday, May 6th. As long as Sheepy is working there, I will be there between 12 and 1 and bother him about comics I'll never remember to read.
I spoke with CoffeeCrackCocaine in the chat room a few days ago, I hope he's still up for it.
