View Full Version : If You Coulda Chosen You Own Name

Fat Was Named After A Great-Uncle And Babtized With A Nice Biblical Name (One Of The 12 Apostles) That He Likes, But Does Not Love. If Fat Coulda Chose His Own Name, He Woulda Picked:
Theodore Or Edward, So He Could Be Called Ted. Ted_Sunny. Love It!
Clay, After Henry Clay. This Is A Very Manly Name. Clay_Sunny. Love It!
Grant, After US Grant. Another Stud Name. Grant_Sunny. Love It!
But If He Only Had One Choice, It Would Have To Be The Biblical Name Luke. Luke_Sunny. Really Love It!
If You Could Pick The FIRST Name That Should Be On Your Birth Certificate, Would What You Pick?

Both of my brothers and one of my sisters were named after other family members. My other sister was named after the girl's orphanage that my mother grew up in. I'm the only one not named after anyone in my family. I wish they had named me after my Uncle Van.

the biggest fight my parents ever had was about my name. My father wanted to name me Bruno for his recently deceased cousin. My mother wanted nothing to do with it. After monthes of argument my mother did a little research and found out that Cousin Bruno's real name was Andrew. I am pretty happy with their decision and it suits me well.

My Mother basically named me after her mother and grandmother, etc but instead of "Marie" she made it "Maria".
She originally wanted to name me Scarlett, which is now something im furious over because that's a kiler name but i've decided that for her(and myself) im going to name a daughter(if i ever have one) Scarlett.
My father wanted to name me "Linda" after my mom, horrible.
I don't care either way about my name, sometimes i wish they could've compromised on giving me my mom's middle name, "Jean"...instead of just giving me "Jeanine" as a middle name.
FIN.

I like my first name Steve, just fine, but I hate my last name. When my great-grandfather came through Ellis Island from Checkoslavakia, he literally changed the name on the spot, eliminating a lot of j's and k's from the name in an attempt to "americanize" it. It is a totally unique name that is never pronounced correctly from my grade school teachers to present day. The worst part is how often its misspelled, even on things like credit cards where I have to print the letters of my name in those boxes. People are stupid
Of course, my porn name is Buttons Clydesdale

I have always had a greivance with my parents choice for my name. The gave me a dumb first name (turns out it was fairly popular then) and a ridiculous middle name (for some dead uncle....like I give 2 shits about a dead uncle of one of my parents that I never met). All I have for decent names is my Christening name.....Andrew.
I'd want to be an Andrew so people could call me Andy....or Andy Capp
I'd tell them "fuck off; it's Andrew". Then Chaos would ensue.

Mike , why would you want to be known as 314779019625?
I'm ok with William, even tho I go by Bill. Only ONE person has ever been allowed to call me Billy - my Godmother. Unfortunatly I'm a Willy Joe, and the initials... well we wont go there.
My poor brother got Jon (without the H) long before it became trendy.
I named my son Matthew Connor - good strong name. It's never Matt - always Matthew. Connor? - think Highlander. It's also a good name (and a little tip of the hat to my smidge of Scott in me)

I will never understand how so many people have trouble pronouncing your name. It's just like 'Alicia' or 'Felicia'. People are dumb.
*edit* not the way Alicia Silverstone pronounces it.

Ronald
Although the name Ron creates the urge to be reliable and responsible, we emphasize that it causes procrastination, lack of confidence, and the inability to realize your goals and ambitions.
This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses in the fluid systems, and worry or mental tension.
The name of Ron has made you serious-minded, responsible, and stable.
You love the security of a home and family, you are fond of children, and, as a parent you would be fair and understanding.
Although you have good business judgment, you are not aggressive in your dealings because you do not like to create issues.
You would be successful in any position dealing with the public as you have a diplomatic and tactful manner and possess a charming, easy-going nature which puts people at ease.
People are drawn to you because they feel that you are patient, kind, understanding, and responsive.
Scott
Although the name Scott creates the urge to be reliable and responsible, we emphasize that it causes a restless intensity that defies relaxation.
This name, when combined with the last name, can frustrate happiness, contentment, and success, as well as cause health weaknesses in the solar plexus, and through worry and mental tension.
The name of Scott creates a quick, analytical, and clever mind; you are creative, versatile, original, and independent.
You have large ambitions, and it is difficult for you to be tolerant and understanding of those who desire less in life or who are more slow and methodical by nature.
Patience is not your forte.
You do, however, have leadership ability and would never be happy in a subservient position.
You are ambitious and aggressive by nature.
You would be happiest in positions where you are free to express individually and creatively and where opportunities are not restricted; you desire freedom, and do not tolerate being possessed by others.
You appreciate change and travel, and the opportunity to meet and mix with others, and to influence them with your creative ideas
