When I was in Junior High, they let us watch TV during our lunch break. The only show that was on at the time that the teachers would let us watch was "The Don Ho Show", a midday variety show broadcast from Hawaii.
Everytime the theme music would kick in (a Hawaiian style war drum solo), hundreds of seventh and eighth graders would beat on the lunch tables in time to the music making for an awesome sound and an even better memory.
Thanks for that Don. Rest in peace.

Rocked it in the Hawaii Brady Bunch episode. Actually, it was real mellow, but Don Ho'd it nonetheless. R.I.P.

You know, I was listening to XM today, and I think they were playing Tiny Bubbles as bumper music for something during the hockey game. When I heard it, I thought, "Wow, while we're out there, we should see if Don Ho is playing..."
Oh well, tis sad.
I wanna still go see Wayne Newton before it's too late.

Yeah, this is probably Imus' fault as well.
Rest in peace, Mr. Ho.
Although I'm sure this wasn't the way he wanted it to happen, this probably makes Bobo the most famous ukulele player alive. All hail King Bobo!

i'm going to pour a few tiny bubbles in memory of the hawaiian crooner.

When I was in Hawaii in late February, I walked to the hotel where he did his show and almost bought a ticket. I should have done it.
