i, like many people on this board, were displeased with the Imus situation
now i know there is a thread for his firing and the things related to that

im posting this as how i voiced my opinion

i went to obama's web site and voiced my displeasure with him supporting sharpton's anti imus stance

heres where i left my opinion of him supporting sharpton
(http://my.barackobama.com/page/s/contact2)

i told him not only would i not be supporting his presidency becuase of his actions, but i would also not be supporting the democrats at all.
punch him in the cunt
but dont say anything stupid, the secret service takes these comments very seriously

I agree with Patsopinion. Once I heard Obama get involved with this story I felt he should know he is costing himself votes. I will let him know. Thanks for giving me a way to do this.

Why is Obama the only politician being singled out for going against Imus.

Nevermind, I know why.

What the fuck? You're going to vote Republican because Obama is a dipshit? You want SIXTEEN years of Bush because one idiot who won't win a primary anyway is stupid? Come ON, man!

Do NOT vote Republican!

No, it makes perfect sense to dismiss a candidate over his opinion on a blown up non-story which the government wasn't involved and if he was President would not have any power over anyway. Perfect sense.

I dismissed John McCain when he said he hated Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches.

Mitt Romney is going real hard after Bush's base. McCain seems identical or worse on Iraq. Giuliani seems even worse in terms of hiring cronies. Some of the current fringe candidates could be even worse overall.

Fat's A Right-Leaning Libertarian Who Has Always Loved Politics And This Upcoming Campaign Is Leaving Him Stone Cold. Everyone On The Republican Side Is So Flawed, And The Dems Are All, Well, Out Of The Question.

Yeah, something tells me most of Imus' listeners weren't voting Democrat in the first place, much less voting for Obama. Imus is such a zero that this'll be nothing by the time the election stuff kicks into high gear.

And the thread title makes no sense. You had no dealings with Imus. Quit lying.

I agree. I was commenting on pat's saying he would not support the PARTY because of Obama's dipshitness.

Actually i read that Imus was a place for Democrats to voice their opinions to white independants surpisingly...

Democratic politicians lose a soapbox with firing of Don Imus (http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/wire/la-na-imuspol13apr13,1,482116.story)

I think it comes down to this: Imus was good to anyone who would give him good radio. If they didn't or they refused to show up at all they became targets. In that way he was just like just about anyone in the media. I never really saw him as tilting towards either side.

I'm not talking about the man himself...I'm talking about the audience. I never met an Imus fan that didn't tilt at least a little to the right. Obviously, I can't speak for all of them, but R&F and obvious stuff like America aside, talk radio audiences in general seem to skew either to the Right or Libertarian.

i have no idea where i would fall into. i will leave it as middle of the road.

As I said in two other threads that discussed Obama's comments on Imus, anyone who thinks that the position Obama took will hurt his chances of becoming President are kidding themselves. The guy may not become president, but it's not going to be a result of his position on this issue.
