No metal connectors on charging base, or toothbrush, how does it charge?

I wondered the same thing when I got mine.
Apparently it's a form of wireless power broadcasting..

It charges by a principal called induction.
there are now these pads coming out that look like mouse pads, where you will be able to put the next generation of cell phones and MP3 players and just set them down on top of the pad and they will charge through the same induction principal.
induction is also the way that a traffic light can tell if a car is sitting there waiting for it to change

I just stick with the old fashion toothbrush. But I do love my power water pick!!!
