It's a matter of personal preference, but between the two I'd go with the X-Box. It's a more powerful system with an easier architechture to develop for (very much like a PC), which means that eventually there will be better games for it.

Go for the box. Microsoft knows alot more about the systems for starters, and even though all my friends are saying go with the cube, i know microsoft will have that monopoly we all so dearly love, and mass produce the games for it.
