I'd go with King of Comedy. I know it gets a lot of love on 202 (Anthony's impression made me check it out a few years back) but I never see it get the recognition it deserves elsewhere. For me it's right up there with Raging Bull and Taxi Driver but it never gets put with Marty's great works.

A New Leaf starring Walter Matthau and Elaine May.
Also directed by Elaine May.
Very funny with a smartass butler that John Gielgud(sp?) stole his Arthur act from.

The Insider
One of my top 5 favorite movies of all time...Al Pacino and Russell Crowe. I thought Russell Crowe was amazing in this movie...should have won the Academy Award for his role, I honestly think that they gave it to him for Gladiator the following year as an apology for not giving it to him that year. I've seen plenty of Michael Mann movies and this one was the best...

Ha ha! I watched The Boiler Room on BET also.
For some reason my ex-husband used to make the joke that I liked The BOYler room because of Vin Diesel.
He totally didn't get me.

the 5th element, by luc besson. it came right after leon and la femme nikita, and gets overshadowed by them, but it's one of my favorite movies. if it's on, i can't turn it off. it's just silly fun.
and rounders i think is too popular with guys to be really considered under-rated. great movie.

I thought the 'Solaris' re-make directed by Stephen Soderbergh w/ Clooney and Natascha McElheone was fairly intelligent sci-fi with great effects and a truly surreal storyline.
Original is cool but the 'ahhhhh' factor of todays CGI makes this re-make a rare, welcome one, for me. Highly recommended for sci-fi fans.

Love this movie.
I know it's blasphemy to all the film snobs, but it's one of my favorite performances by Gary Oldman. Simply hilarious.
Plus it had Tricky in it, and in my opinion, you're just not getting much cooler than that.

I really like this flick...if you cut out the last part, right after the big space cruise ship blows up, it's a ton of fun. That last 10-15 minutes or so....holy Christ, what a craptacular ending.

It's not exactly a Python film, hence why anyone who's familiar with the other Python films will blank on it, but rather it was directed by Terry Gilliam, who was a member of the Python troupe. . .and is still making scads of money on Python sketches.
I've not yet seen it, but have actually heard of it, albeit in a weird, roundabout way:
It's mentioned in The Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice.
When the vampire Armand finally catches up with Daniel (aka The Boy from Interview With the Vampire) this is one of the films that Armand watches over and over and over again.
I've been curious about seeing it since I first read QOTD when I was 14. (Unfortunately, every time it's on cable, it's 3am and I'm asleep. I wonder if it's available in the OnDemand. . .)
Rounders with Matt Damon and Ed Norton
Ditto. I absolutely love this movie. I love 25th Hour as well. I think a lot of people passed on it and they don't want to know what they're missing out on.

Ok. That's really strange I didn't catch that.
I must have been in some sort of waking coma when I read that.
Just wierd.

Hoosiers.
Great and underappreciated actor (Gene Hackman) as well as a terrific story of redemption.
