I have to admit my grasp of world events doesn't leave me with much of a memory of his time in office other than the "Drunk guy" stereotype he seemed to get for whatever reason.

I don't remember him being hostile towards the US so I'll just say "Sorry to hear about it" and move on.

Was anyone else with me in thinking, "Boris Yelstin was still alive?"

And I'm pretty sure this is the O&A Vacation Curse. Everytime they go away, someone famous dies.

I will pour out a li'l Stoli onto the ground when I get out of work for my homey.

He may have been a big, fat drunk prone to corruption, but he also got in front of the business end of of the Soviet tanks when the Red Army generals made their last ditch attempt to put Gorbachev's genie back in the bottle. Which, for those of us living in the US today and are generally unfamiliar with this trait in our own politicians, is called courage.

Just goes to show, you can live without a liver.

RIP, may your afterlife be filled with vodka and Russian hookers.

Does this count as the major death during an O&A vacation?

And this entire time I thought he got his green card and was coaching the Golden State Warriors...(I'd insert a pic of Don Nelson here if I knew how)
