Chris I think I am going to be going. it is my birthday weekend, so what better way to spend it than down in AC!

the only problem is i am nervous about getting down there and registering in time. i would hate to drive down only to not get in the tourney

if i go, id probably be there the 18th, and leave the 20th. (assuming the o and a hotel rates are a good deal).

That way, I can be sure I'm registered ahead of the day of rush..and hell, A/C on a friday night!

I havent yet. I was waiting to see if any buddays would be there. But I was definitely leaning today towards going anyway. Represent RonFez.net with my classiness.

As soon as I find out if I can get the weekend off, I'm booking. (trusting O and A rates)

I decided not to go. I have to help my sister move, and that is my birthday weekend so i will just spend it up here

I may go since I only live 15 minutes from AC.

A shot at 20K for a $100 buy-in sounds pretty nice.

I signed up on Sunday night and the poker room manager told me that the New Orleans Ballroom will hold 450 people and they may host some of the overflow in the regular poker room but for only another 50 - 60 people. So that makes room for about 500 players.

The registration for the event is first come - first serve. No spots are going to be held on the side for anyone coming day of. So if it sells out before that you are out of luck. But on a good side currently, he said there are only 80+ players registered at the moment so there plenty of room currently available.

He didn't know the structure of the tournament as of yet but he was assuming it was going to follow what they use for the WSOP Circuit events.

Look forward to seeing all of you down there. Good Luck

Chris-

The event is sold out to pre registration from what I understand.

There are about 450-500 spots.

100 are to the radio stations - ie. Free-FM, WYSP, and XM.

100 are being held for day of registration.

And the rest for pre reg.

So you have a chance to play but you will have to wait on line for a spot.

Hope this helps and see you down there.
