Adult Swim's "Robot Chicken" travels to a galaxy far, far away to create an all "Star Wars"-themed special. Premiering on June 17. (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=20082)
George Lucas approves AND is lending his voice to the special.
In addition to the ultimate get of having George Lucas himself voice his stop-motion animated likeness for the special, other noteworthy voice actors include Conan O'Brien, Seth MacFarlane, Malcolm McDowell, Hulk Hogan, James Van Der Beek, Robert Smigel, Donald Faison, Abraham Benrubi, Breckin Meyer and Joey Fatone.
This is going to be hilarious.

The story on AICN said Mark Hamill will be portraying Luke as well. Makes sense, since Mark has been on Robot Chicken before.

Who would have thought that when he whined to Uncle Ben about going into town and picking up some power converters. Eeesh - he sounded like a little bitch in that scene.

Of all the projects in the world, I never would have expected Lucas to go for this one. Bravo. Hope it helps them not hurts them.

Question: Did they mention how long this special is going to be?
I noticed that they are playing it a shit load of times during the night, to which I hope it's just not a 15 minute episode.

its looking like a 30 minute show followed by two 15 min old episodes
and it does that for every hour throughout the night

Seth McFarlane did voices on it, so yes.

Star Wars: Family Guy will be the season opener in Sept.
And it was fairly entertaining. It was disappointing that they put 3 old sketches in there.

the cantina scene was my favorite one. "this is going to be a great day..."
my other fav. was the construction of the 2nd deathstar told the emperor, "i don't tell you how to threaten your blonde boy, so why don't you go back to your sit-n-spin."

I was disappointed about the repeated bits also, but at least they were pretty good.
The one-sided phone conversation where the Emperor is talking to Vader after the first Death Star blew up is one of my absolute favorite bits, so it wasn't so bad that they used that one again.

They kinda changed it I think. Vader's voice was alot deeper and "more Vader like" than when the skit previously aired.

A NEW Robot Chicken Star Wars show on this Sunday, Cartoon Network 1130pm-12M.
From Entertainment Weekly:

Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II Grade: A
Seth Green and his cronies go where they — and a lot of other people — have already gone before. Luckily for us, Team RC is as brilliantly obsessive about lampooning the Star Wars universe as they were last time, whether it's a stormtrooper bringing his kid to Take Your Daughter to Work Day or the further adventures of Emperor Palpatine and his punk apprentice, Darth Vader. ("There is no try. There is do, or there is f---ing up royal. And you're f---ing up royal.") Plus: Billy Dee Williams doing Lando Calrissian. —Marc Bernardin
