Hey can we edit our posts please?

This whole not being able to edit your own post a few hours after you make it is really starting to be a handicap. My whole Pokemon post, I wanted to edit the initial post with people's friend codes as they were put into the thread and I am not able to do that. Wallower just posted his so instead of people having to look through the whole thread to find codes I was going to put them all up top in an easy to find location, except I can't do that because threads are locked down tight once you make them.

Any way we can start allowing people to edit their own stuff?

I wasn't aware of it until this thread, but he brings up a good point. Why can't we have unlimited editing? Is it a setting we can change or is it "hard coded" into 2.0?

Yeah but what about topics where you don't make mistakes but need to update things as time goes on? Like you have a main post with important contact info about something and then a few days later you need to update that contact info with new numbers or other relevant pieces of data. Yeah, I guess you could ask a mod to do it for you but do you really want to be bothering the mods every time you need to make a change to your post?

I am not talking about spelling mistakes or stuff like that, normally you can find them if you just re-read your post right after you make it and get in on the small edit window, I am talking about wanting to change things in your post that have an actual purpose.
