All I can do at this point is hope I remember this the next time. Back then I was swept up in the Bush administration's bullshit too.

Since That's From Huffington's Website, Can Fat Point Out That A Few Years Ago, When She Was Married To And Acting As A Beard For Michael Huffington, She Had No Problem Spewing The Republican Line.

Usually, People Do Not Have Political Epiphany's At The Age Of 50, And Do A 180 Degree Turn, Which Means That She Was Probably A Liar Until She Got Divorced.

I remember her as far back as 2000 being on Bill Maher (politicaly incorrect) being a lefty. I have never heard her spew anything leaning right. But thats just me!!! It also has nothing to do with what was posted. All the fox news and right wing cracks talked about this war being so easy because of the gulf war in 1991. The thing they didnt get is Saddam gave up back then and left kuwait. The war ended, we didnt occupy Iraq. Once we decided to occupy thats when those people went nuts. The republicans and the Dems didnt thing far enough ahead to see this. That being said, all republican talking heads loved trying to make the anti war lefties look like fools but it has slapped them back in the face and the anti war people have been proven right!!!

F_S Checked And REPUBLICAN Commentator Ariana Divorced Michael Huffington In 1997. That's 10 Years Ago, Which May Be A Few More Than A Few Years, But Time Does Fly.

Four years and a half trillion dollars ago they also told us that the war would be virtually self-financing.

Of course this is the same bunch that, over 2 trillion dollars ago said they would keep the budget balanced.

Off the top of my head, political flip-floppers (don't know their actual ages, or think it's relevant): Dennis Miller, Christopher Hitchens, David Brock (author of "Blinded by the Right"), Bill Cosby (from apolitical comic to raving anti-black culture lunatic - which I'm sure the murder of his son had something to do with), David Horowitz (right-wing lunatic/former left-wing lunatic), Moe (from conservative to agnostic - halfway there budday!), Sen Robert Byrd, and I'll note (still rubbing my eyes) that furie is posting cartoons off Huffington Post.

So the point of this post was to illustrate how completely misguided right-wing pundits were in their unquestionable support for the administration's plans for Iraq. I think it is very hard hitting, very concrete and very justified. I am surprised that some people have posted comments disparaging Huffington, when she has nothing to do with it other than hosting a site that displayed the cartoon. If I am correct (and I am, but I will never be able to spell tommorrow), this is a cartoon by Tom Tomorrow, and you can look up that site, and you can look up those quotes portrayed in the cartoon (He has an indisputable reputation). Huffington has nothing to do with this. This is about the administration's manipulation of the intelligence, manipulation of the media, and ultimately (and most disturbingly) the manipulation of Americans.

as if anyone cares, it's actually The unyeilding right-wing attitudes of the above posters, as well as certain radio personalities that drove me away from being a regular poster on this messageboard, (that and not having enough money to hang out with the "cool kids" anymore, but I digress) I was shocked to see this post from Tom, and maybe some people are beggining to finally understand the truth, all these years later.

Don't worry, I won't stick around, as I wouldn't want to "punish" those being a little smarter politically with my presence, I'm just expessing my shock. I'll just take my short creepy self, and crawl back under my rock now. Thanks for giving me a little hope for our misbegotten species.

So furie, is this your own little way of admitting that you, too, were wrong about everything?

You need the sedative and need to stop talking in the third person. Your an old man from Jersey who thinks he knows it all and talks so much shit. Not one post by you has ever disagreed with the right/republicans etc. Atleast people on the left can admit when they fucked up, typical Reupublican. No wonder we are in the mess we are in. But no, you said a few years most people take that as 3, 4 maybe even 5 years. For however long she has been popular in the media she has been liberal. Let me guess, when she was a republican you loved her, now shes a liberal loon?

I do agree she might have been a republican b/c she had to. Her husband was a republican and in oil.

This is for you

See, You Really Do Need That Sedative. F_S Disagrees With Republicans Very Often; You Are Not Reading Very Carefully. Even In This Thread, Fat Gave Credit Where It Was Due:

i'd say hitchens has more a variety of views than he's flip-flopped. unless you think he does it article to article. he's just all over the place. or, maybe he was different 10 years ago and i just don't know it.

I think he goes whichever way the wind-bag blows. He writes for fame and fortune. Which is why he was writing really liberal shit up to 9-11, made a very public conversion to neoconservatism and spent most of his energy attacking liberals and now is back to criticizing neocons. But I've always thought his writing was crap anyway. He uses alot of 75cent words to say fuck-all. He's a hack with a posh accent and if he didn't have the accent we'd never know who he was.
