View Full Version : Congratulations to the Ron & Fez Show on their first FreeFM Ratings Book
mikeyboy

Ron said during the FreeFM show that they just got their first ratings book for their FreeFM show. Ratings are something that the show doesn't dwell on on-air, so it was little more than a passing mention and a thank you to all the listeners supporting the show. Ron didn't say what the ratings were (and the ratings of the individual shows aren't traditionally released to the public), but he did say that they were very pleased. So congratulations Ron, Fez, Earl, Dave, Pitzy, Lilly, Shelle and anyone else who has a hand in the FreeFM show on this great success. You all do a hell of a job and deserve the all of the listener support that the show has received.

Mikey you nailed it. I listened and was so excited to hear this HUGE news. As Mikey pointed out, they rarely bring it up, so it is great news. I immediately called some buddays to let them know.
It is the beginning of great things to come. I am so lucky to be along for the ride. And what a ride it is!
[Ron Bennington]Ronfez.net is the message board of the show. If you want to know anything about the show, that is where you go.They also have a listening thread there every night.[/Ron Bennington]

Has any show ever been as good as they are to their fans?
Absolutely not.
And in all seriousness, being a fan of the show (and the hosts themselves) is a pretty special thing.
When Ron and Fez say "Hiya, budday" it's not just a catch phrase. You really feel like a buddy of theirs. When they hang out with you all night at a bar you don't feel like you're hanging with a couple of radio hosts, but rather a couple of good friends who happen to be on the radio for a living.

Congratulations!!!
Not a doubt in the world that they would be bigger, badder and bolder than before!
Has any show ever been as good as they are to their fans?
Stern takes his fans for granted; O&A appear to be scared of many of their fans; D&M out right hate their listeners - the only ones that seem come close to R&F in this category are the Hideout guys, which would only make sense.

True that. I was nervous when I first met them at WJFK but they came off as regular guys: very humble, welcoming and friendly. That's why I always talk them up to the unenlightened...and why I wish them every success.
Now if we could just get them back on WJFK. Even on a replay.

Great to hear the show is picking up where it left off on NEW.
make sure to spread the word to your friends, colleagues, mailmen, sex slaves, etc about the show. Word of mouth works wonders. The station is pulling a 1.3, an abysmal number. The more listeners the buddays have the more leverage it gives them. If R & F and O & A demonstrate they can pull numbers in key demos it will buy the format more time, or help them both land somewhere else should CBS whack Free Fm.

Very proud of the boys...I'm just kind of curious is it's a 'monster book' in relation to what used to be in that timeslot, or just a 'monster book' in general for New York radio.
I'd have to think the former, just because WFNY is doing so badly...but progress is definitely good...anything that's boosting ratings at that station at this point has to be seen as a major plus and work in Ron & Fez's favor.

According to the Radio Dentist, this is all a figment of Ron's imagination because the radio dentist has no substantiation of said rating, so therefore it doesn't exist. The Radio dentist is loathe to allow anything positive about Ron annd Fez to be posted on his radio dentist board because he hates the boys more than he hates someone with perfect teeth. Congratulations to Ron and Fez for a bangup book.

So what's Sniffen's problem?
And how exactly did a dentist become this "authority" on radio?
Looking over other posts on this, I think I know what might be going on. He doesn't like the show, of course, but he's also got this running thing about how FreeFM is failing and should be replaced, possibly by a country station (for all the hayseeds in NYC). This shows that many people do not share his opinion, and that FreeFM can, with the right people, be successful.
He's a douche who should stick to fondling patients out on nitrous.
PilotJeff
05-04-2007, 06:24 PM
The dentist's problem is he doesn't "get" the show, which is easy to do without a sense of humor. It makes me wonder if he's called in a few times and didn't get a laugh or never got through and has a deep emotional scarring from it. Either way, he's deleted quite a few of the posts over there until this last one. Thanks to John M for shutting him up by posting the numbers.

It was the fat no-talent pig Artie Lang. He's Stern's resident comedian and he constantly lies about O&A's and R&F's ratings just to pacify Howard's giant ego. Artie really chose the best radio show to help him get exposure. With Stern's help his movie "Beer League" became one of the biggest bombs in the history of motion pictures. It even did worse than "Cabin Boy." Stern and Lang deserve each other.
