I know the show is like 7 years old, but I only watched it last week.
The only thing I hate about the show is that I took so long to watch it. Fucking brill show from the guys who bring you Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, it's the story of people living in a board house, rife with pop culture and geek references.
If you haven't seen this show, go out right now and find it! It's not available on Region 1 dvd, but worth seeking out online or on Region 2 dvd, if you can play it.

I caught the first 2 episodes on BBC America last week. Brilliant show! I have since downloaded the entire series and will watch them soon.

BBCA has been playing a lot of older shows lately, but starting at 3am. I know just a couple days ago they had a mini Life on Mars marathon.
I've been seeking out different shows from the UK. Some that I really enjoy are Father Ted, Black Books, The IT Crowd, Robin Hood, and Little Britain.
I've got my DVR set up for some shows that BBCA will playing this month that I've never seen, but look promising such as Hyperdrive, the Mighty Boosh, and the Kumars at No. 42.

spaced was a fav of mine back at university.
everyone should check out 'father ted', 'mighty boosh' and 'Im Alan Partridge' too
BEST LINK GOIN....TODAAAY (http://www.tv-links.co.uk)
other good stuff... 'peep show'. 'league of gentlemen' 'nighty night' 'the smoking room'
if you like a bit of scottish sit-coms 'still game' really hits the mark on glasgow life
comedy panel shows are big over here right now ..most are afwful but 'QI' and '8 out of 10 cats' are suprisingly funny.

Although Mooch has written the definitive post on the topic, I love Spaced and Boosh beyond reason. And Black Books as well.
If you live in Portland, you can come to my house and watch any of these with us. It's fun!

Coupling was pretty funny the 2 or 3 times I watched it. Kind of like Friends but less stupid. They brought up something on one episode called the "Giggle Loop"; I haven't been able to get it out of my head since.
Footballers Wives always struck me as a Melrose Place type of prime-time soap. I have never seen a full episode however, since it never seemed like my cup of tea.
Check out the Link action in Mooch's post above. GREAT site, especially if you want to catch a few of these BBC series.

Bringing this back on topic, I bought the DVD set for Spaced about a month ago and it has already shot into my top 5 favorite TV comedies of all time. If you like SotD or Hot Fuzz, there's really no excuse not to seek this show out.

Coupling has to be recognised as a strange one...
was a total rip-off of the 'friends' format. it was complete shite but got ok ratings so the yanks remade it to compete WITH friends.
it was like the first ep of the US office - word for word remake- and was even worse than the crappy UK version.
if you like Simon Pegg and that other artist dude from Spaced check out Big Train (http://www.tv-links.co.uk/show.do/1/1912). (the chick from nighty night is in it too)

It's so fantastic. Between the New Romantic Auction and Mao-Tse Tung singing Roxy Music on his deathbed, it feeds on my brainwaves.
In the small world of British comedy, I believe the lady from Nighty Night and Big Train just had Julian Barratt (Mighty Boosh)'s baby.
League of Gentlemen is also the best. Call me when you want to come over and watch it. I've got everything except Apocalypse.

Depends on what kind of player you have. If you Google the model and the brand with "play multi-region," you'll find out pretty fast whether or not your player can be adjusted.

I have 2 DVD players and according to www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks (http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks), neither of them can be hacked.
What I do is download region 2 shows, usually .avi files and convert them to DVD using a free program called DVD Flick (http://www.dvdflick.net/).

I watch pretty much everything you mention except for Nighty Night and 8 out of 10.
QI is probably one of the funniest quiz shows out there
Actually picked up the Spaced DVD years ago when I was ordering I'm Alan Partridge. Not knowing anything about the show at all. Watched those dvds over and over. Sadly did not go in for the double dip but I did down load that documentry that was included. Nice how they tied it all up at the end.

Pegg and Frost have a new movie in the works.... Nice.
Simon Pegg has announced on his MySpace page that helmer Greg Mottola (Superbad, upcoming Adventureland) will direct Nick Frost and Pegg's new movie, Paul.
Written by Pegg and Frost, the road movie is about two British comic book geeks that get into an adventure across America.
In related news, Pegg says that he won't be able to star in Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards. as was previously reported. "Much to our mutual disappointment, I won't be appearing in QT's forthcoming 'Inglorious Bastards' due to insurmountable scheduling difficulties," he said. "We really tried to make it work but in the end, it just was not possible without severe ramifications elsewhere. I'm trying to remain upbeat, as Tom Selleck said 'Who the hell is Indiana Jones anyway?'"
Regarding "Bastards," Ain't It Cool News adds that former "Freaks and Geeks" star Samm Levine will play one of Brad Pitt's underlings, while David Krumholtz won't be joining the film.
I fell in love with Spaced while living in England a few years ago, and indoctrinated all my US friends this summer with the American release of the DVDs. I haven't heard the UnMasked with Simon Pegg yet, did they talk about Spaced? Also props to Jessica Hynes nee Stevenson, super cute and a great writer and actress.

By Charlie Jane Anders, 10:20 AM on Thu Nov 13 2008
Simon "Scotty" Pegg is set to star in another science fiction movie, a comedy called Paul directed by Superbad helmer Greg Mottola. There, they meet a small alien named Paul, who needs their help to get home. Pegg and Frost co-wrote the movie, which starts filming in April in New Mexico. [Variety]
