This is why I love the XMKids station. At 8:55 this morning I was driving my 3 year old to a gymnastics class. As usual, I was listening to XMKids. All of the sudden I couldn't believe my ears...
MOTORHEAD!!! They were playing Motorhead on XMKids at 8:55 am! Specifically, "You Better Swim" by Motorhead. I couldn't have been more psyched.
The following conversation ensued...
"Colin - this is Motorhead"
"Who's the guy singing Dad?"
"His name is Lemmy. That's a funny name isn't it?"
"Yes it is."
"Enjoy the song son."
Later I found it that the song was featured in the Spongebob movie but who cares. I got to listen to and introduce Motorhead to my 3 year old.

That's very cool, TJ. If I am not mistaken, the also play PanterA from Spongebob. My boys listen to The Boneyard with me.
Horns up!!

I heard the same thing as I was driving my son to school. I had to double-check the pad data to make sure it was still on 116 and I wasn't imagining things.

I make the kids listen to "Soul Street" with me.
Yesterday, they wanted to change their names to "Alice" and "Fireboy".
I told them OK, but they had to refer to me as "Superfly". Which they did for the rest of the day. Somewhere Curtis Mayfield is smiling.

Good thing it wasn't "Orgasmatron" -- you would have had a lot more explaining to do.

Not after hearing Motorhead! Now he's taking "Whiskey Drinking" instead!
HORNS UP! METAL!!!!
That's fucking awesome man. I couldn't hate Spongebob more, but if the movie soundtrack introduced a new generation to Motorhead, it's fucking awesome.

You got to it before I could say that ALL Hottubs kids get to listen to is Motorhead. Well that and Priest.
My ex used to baby sit a little girl who loved when I would come over and rock some heavier stuff. In fact, she really liked UnHallowed, or as she called it "Cookie Monster Music." You've got the 7 year old vote Moe!

Fucking awesome. I love the fact that they put a Motohead song in the Spongebob movie. Almost as cool as when I saw Gremlins2 back when I was 10 years old, and all of a sudden "Angel of Death" by Slayer starts playing. Made me want to start a pit in the middle of the theater.

Yesterday I found them playing on the deck and "No Quarter" by Led Zeppelin was cranking. I'm starting them slower than Tub's kids. Those kids are already stage diving.
