View Full Version : The New Earl
Let's face it...5/10/07 marked the day of the dawning of a new Earl...he was outspoken, lively, and, as we say in 'the community', in your face to everyone and anyone.
I love the new Take No Prisoners Earl...he hung Fez out to dry in the ER, he bitchslapped that girl on PalTalk, and he told Dave he would hospitalize him inside a ring.
Yay or Nay (or pee in butt) on the new Earl?

I thought he was awesome!
But now I just heard him say that Noah's Ark happened.
It's like listening to a retard recite Shakespeare!!

Is this the right time for Earl to talk to women like Homeless Charlie?
The last couple of times I've seen Earl out at events he's been more personable and assertive. It's a good sign.
His anger and apparent hatred of women worries me though.

The new Earl is hysterical. I just hope Wiki doesn't suspend him again.

Agreed, in person he has been a lot more social, but I see him living with Cats in the Future. Not a Woman

My concern is that he'd misread social cues and do something stupid. Assertive and aggressive is all well and good but when someone is emulating being assertive and aggressive, they do dumb shit they can't take back.
I think Earl is familiar enough with the act he's going for. He knows what it looks like, he can pick it out of a line-up. But I don't think he can every really understand it, so he'd be mimicking it instead of adopting it. Earl should just keep being Earl in my opinion.

It would be hard to run a show with all the mics and headphones in pieces on the floor.
While I respect the entertainment value of Earl "Cult of Personality" Douglas he's just not focused enough to pull it off every day. I await the shameful return of Earl "Swanee River" Douglas.

I really don't know which Earl to vote for...I just like it when they rag on him and he fumbles trying to defend himself. Brings a smile to my face
Earl is a good guy - I'm always going to support and back up Earl. If this is how he needs to be, to be confident and good at his job, then he should go balls out into it. However, yesterday he sounded like someone who had been listening to Angry Wonderboy tapes; while funny and disturbing at times, it also sounded forced.

Yes, albeit his behavior was not exactly couth, at least he was being assertive for once.
ESDave is starting to make me yell at the radio these days. One of the reasons I joined the board to be honest.
He is like one of those little yippy dogs, he comes out from behind Ron’s legs long enough to take cheap shots at Earl to make himself feel superior, then goes and hides back behind his master.
It’s bad enough that he has the mentality of a 13 year old, is a chain-smoking alcoholic who acts out for attention, but to belittle other people just tees me off.
He gets all mightier than thou with the "Board Gossip" bit, personifying himself to be king of the internet universe, but when his favorite board isn’t getting the attention, he eats up airtime putting down every other site but FBA. Probably because he feels his self imposed "kewlguy" status threatened.
The guy doesn’t even have insurance, cant stop drinking, even for FEZ!. Just flat out refuses to make any sacrifices that might affect his imaginary "utopian" life he thinks he has. And someone finds it in their best interest to marry this guy?
Damn I just wish Earl would jump over the console one day and pummel him.
Ok.. im done Venting.
And what was with RON today blaming Earl for the reason Fez got the stint. That’s ludicrous, unfounded and about as distasteful of a bit I have ever heard. RON IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE GROUNDED ONE! I actually turned off the show after that.
Flame me if ya want. I have been listening for a little over 6 months, and this is the first time I felt the urge to post on anything.
