I have posted this at wb as well.

I don’t like to hear ESD run down Wackbag. That’s about the extent of it, nothing personal against Dave, but when he complains about how he is treated by a message board (a board that he frequently talks shit about) I will call him on it. I can understand that he would only want to read positive posts about his roll on the show, but that is naive and unrealistic.

I feel that Ron is ready to move past the ESD vs. Wackbag bit but as I said when Dave complains about Wackbag, I’ll call…at some point Ron will stop taking the call and then the bit will be over.

With that said I think Dave plays several rolls on the show very well and is often fun and funny to listen to. He can also be very annoying and stubborn both of which have made for great radio. Some of my favorite Ron & Fez bits feature ESD prominently and I think the show would suffer when and if he leaves. Todays show was a great example, the conflict between ESD and Earl is great, we’ve all heard it before and the tension may or may not be real but nonetheless it makes for good listening. So, with Fez having his heart/head examined recently, I’ll look forward to Dave doing his piss drinking, yelling and screaming, over the top, "idiot know it all" roll on the show and enjoy the silliness and stupidity.

With all due respect to all parties, I think it's a genuine bit with Dave in terms of RonFez.net., and in terms of the Wackbag issue, I don't think that discussion belongs here. Their is nothing we can do about it and it's really not our place to interpret it.

To be honest, whenever Dave bashes this place, I don't really take it all that seriously. Sometimes the stuff is so thin, that it seems pretty clearly a setup to get people to react. An example, there was a long thread about Lilly here that was almost 98% positive. Dave brought it up on the air as an anti-Lilly thread. He even cited Death Metal Moe's comment that started out with "I didn't like Lilly before, but..." and continued as a really positive post, by stating that DMM's post of "I didn't like Lilly" was a Lilly bashing post. It was clearly designed to get a reaction from people here. Moe and I called to go with the bit, but few of the veterans get really riled up by his comments. Some of the new folks don't get the bit and get kind of insensed, but most of us get it.

I can't speak for Dave. I have no idea whether it is or isn't personal. While Dave has acknowledged that Wackbag, to a certain extent, has turned around on him, there is still a decent sized anti-Dave contingent on wack bag *cough*striker*cough*. Even you, Turtle, have been a part of it in the past. If he's getting bashed the worst by WB, is it unreasonable for him to be annoyed by WB?

Ultimately, regardless of whether it is or isn't a bit, don't take it so seriously...

If it wasn't for Ron's great interviews I might have turned off the XM show halfway through.

He simply does not have to chops to hold an interesting conversation with Ron. Give and take is a huge part of the program and Dave's inability to bring any intelligence to the table gets old pretty fucking quick. He belongs on a zoo show.

ESDave is starting to make me yell at the radio these days. One of the reasons I joined the board to be honest.

He is like one of those little yippy dogs, he comes out from behind Ron’s legs long enough to take cheap shots at Earl to make himself feel superior, then goes and hides back behind his master.

It’s bad enough that he has the mentality of a 13 year old, is a chain-smoking alcoholic who acts out for attention, but to belittle other people just tees me off.

He gets all mightier than thou with the "Board Gossip" bit, personifying himself to be king of the internet universe, but when his favorite board isn’t getting the attention, he eats up airtime putting down every other site but FBA. Probably because he feels his self imposed "kewlguy" status threatened.

The guy doesn’t even have insurance, cant stop drinking, even for FEZ!. Just flat out refuses to make any sacrifices that might affect his imaginary "utopian" life he thinks he has. And someone finds it in their best interest to marry this guy?
